Have an opportunity to buy a Pfaff 1245 706/47. It looks pretty rough, but is in working condition with a Servo motor and table. Is $475 reasonable given the cleaning it will need? Works as expected..used for sewing horse pads.
Nice machine. If it actually is in working condition and has a newer servo motor (preferably brushless) not a bad price. Pfaff’s and Adlers tend to go a bit higher than other machines, but they’re smooth operating.Have an opportunity to buy a Pfaff 1245 706/47. The person selling also has a Consew in storage..he doesn't know the model #, but it apparently has a servo motor, reverse and is a walking foot industrial machine? Does that narrow it down for anyone?
Hoping to see it in person soon. What would be comparable to the Pfaff (trying to decide if I want to wait for him to get it out of storage). Same price he said ($450). The Pfaff looks pretty rough and is missing one of the thread guides it seems.
I did a search but came up empty. any opinions on a Consew 199R for saddle making? There is one available near me for a bargain.
It was free but someone got to it before me. From what I read it does only zig zag but I think that would be fine if the pattern is tight enough.
Great machine. It does well with both heavy and light fabrics.Singer 111W151 with table, accessories, new variable speed motor, knee foot lift.

I have had this for a couple of years. It is in great shape. The variable speed motor has less than an hour on it. It has had intermittent trouble picking up the bobbin thread without tangling but the guy at the shop tells me this is user error. Bullet proof machine. Feel free to ping me using the FB listing. I probably won't see replies here.
Warwick, PA - FB MP - Tacsew GC6-6 $200 (along with some other machines), but it looks like the tacsew would sell for $200.

@4090Sharps - is that a standard option on all the 20U's or specific years/models?That blue Singer 20U would also be a great machine. I used one of them for attaching all of my MOLLE webbing. It has a really cool setting for the min and max zigzag stitch, which allows you to preset your preferred stitch width and lock it in as a permanent reference. This way you can switch back and forth between straight stitch and a uniform zigzag width.
