Sewing Machine Deals for the DIY Guys

It was an estate sale so they didn’t have details on the machine but it looks almost new. It came with the oil pan, bobbin winder, thread stand and some tools but no motor or table. I have a table, I’ll need to see if I can find a template to cut it for this machine. Also got a pile of milspec narrow goods (grosgrain, webbing & Velcro) and some cordura.

The one I had worked well. I think you’ll be happy. Throw a servo on it, I’d suggest a needle positioner as well. It just makes things so much faster o ce you get used to it.

For what they were asking I couldn’t turn it down. Even if I end up flipping it to put money towards sitting different.

I’m looking at servo motors and the needle positioner. Any recommendations?

sewing gold recommended the reliable sewquiet 6000SM, it’s $234 with positioner. I also see this Vevor Vr-750 Brushless Sewing Machine Servo Motor W/ Needle Positioner For $125.

I’ve used a couple consews off of Amazon as well as a couple cheaper ones from eBay. I’ve only used 750 watt ones but all have worked just fine for me. The cheaper ones off eBay can actually be set to lower rpm’s than the consew ones I’ve used. I’d also suggest ordering a 45 or 50 mm drive pulley for the motor. This will slow it down even more but I can still run my machines as fast as I could with the clutch motors they came with because of the servos ability to run at higher rpm’s.

The table that I had ended up being warped so I didn’t want to take the time to cut it out for the new machine. Got lucky yesterday and scored a singer table locally for $40 that has the right cutout for my machine. I did order a servo, needle positioner and some other missing items. Hoping this weekend I can get everything installed and test it out

I cannot believe I am posting this and not going to get this machine right now

Oley, PA

Juki DNU-241H (successor to lu563 and predecessor of 1541) with table and what looks like a servo motor for $250. It is not going to last long at all!

If I didn’t already have a consew 206 or this model had the safety clutch, you’d be seeing my post of it in my truck.

Someone hop on it!

I got it! was a local embroidery shop that had it. Everything seems to work fine (not that I know much about it) hope to play with it more tonight.

thanks for the heads up on it! Going to have to get rid of something now, wife thinks I’m out of my mind

Sweet!!! Congrats!!! Let us know how it works out for you.

Schwenksville, PA Nakajima 280L (triple feed) for $200

I texted and asked about it. There is no motor with it. A servo can be had for a little over $100. I did ask about running condition, but did not get an answer for that. If one could hand turn the wheel to confirm everything works, IMO, it would be a great deal.

I really wanted to buy this as a second machine, but I need to clear some space out before buying another machine.

If anyone is interested I’m selling the tacsew t111-155 now that I picked up the Juki. I have $375 into it with the servo motor and needle positioner.
Or if anyone is interested in a servo & needle positioner I will sell that separately

Milton, VT - $300 for what appears to be a consew 206rb-3 or 4 rebadge. I’d be on this in a hot second if it was anywhere close to me.

Selling my singer 185k in vintage table. Warren, PA. $80

Any opinions on the Kenmore e-6354 machine? Looks to have forward and reverse and is said to be in running condition. Not looking to make my own saddles but would like to make gear straps, pouches, back bands, etc. Thoughts on a fair price?

That machine will likely have a dial adjustment for stitch length at the end of the wheel. They have a tendency to strip out, so you’ll have to adjust stitch length using a screw on the upper drive shaft if it is. It’s not worth 300 if stripped, so you might get it cheaper. Once you get a good stitch length, it’s best to set it and leave it alone.
