Thank you for the info!I’m using 52” of 6mm cord
Are you using it just on LB?

What is gained here? Cool setup, just not following on the benefit. This is a 6mm Moving Rope Linesmens that @FrankNess14 came up with. The Sticht hitch is 1/8” T-100, polyester cover and technora core, with a break strength of 2000 lbs. The cord is very stiff, but can be made flexible to be used for hitches. I had a 28” piece and removed 2” of core, it needs to be longer for a more secure stopper knot. It could be attached directly to the saddle loop to eliminate a carabiner. A 18-24” piece of 11/16” tubular webbing would keep the ropes together and add protection.

Using 6mm mainline and 1/8” hitch means this is an ultra lite and compact lb. Having it in a “basket” config means 1/2 the weight on the tiny 1/8” hitch. So I’d say this is compactness and lightness benefit. What is gained here? Cool setup, just not following on the benefit.
I guess you would just remove it at height as opposed to just daisy chaining the rope and letting it hang?Using 6mm mainline and 1/8” hitch means this is an ultra lite and compact lb. Do you know of any drop tests with any other hitches? I’ve seen some pull tests by HownotTo on YouTube but it wish there were more. My understanding is most hitches will slide before they reach Mbs.Anyone know of any drop testing on the WLR?
Also, folks that ran it this season, still a fan?

Oplux coppa/bealI didn’t mean to imply it was unsafe. I don’t think it is, was just curious. CGM and Wood Hunting saddles have done drop tests with Blake’s and prusik/Schwabish on bridges. Not sure what others may have done as well.
