Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

Great job! Where did you get your amsteel ropes and aiders from?
EWO amsteel guy should get them any day now order dubblestep for the bottom and 2 singles for 2nd and 3rd sticks 1/8 amsteel with rubber tubing.

neither… 3mm

i went with 7/64”. 1/8” is a little tight.
Same here! They are definitely worth it the factory ropes work but the RDA amsteel is the way to go IMO!! Thanks to enkriss for help with my decision!

I also ordered RDA 7/64".

I had 7/64" and 1/8" genuine amsteel laying around and tried both on the notched button thing.

The 1/8" was slightly too big and the 7/64" snapped in better.

The stock are chinese copy of amsteel and they are a different texture and not as firm.

The place that was linked that sells weighted ones for throwing around the tree only come in 1/8".

I bought tungsten fishing weights and sewed my own weight on the end of the RDA ones and then covered in stealth strips.

edit

@enkriss stated above that the stock are 3mm, that is 7.56/64".....so right between 7/64" and 1/8".....however, they do not seem to be smaller than the 7/64" american amsteel because the american stuff is just way better quality and firmness

Id double check the ends of the steps before you throw aiders on them. Mine were razor sharp and started fraying my aider in two climbs

Yeah I was wondering about that! So I stealth stripped ware the aiders make contact with the steps.

nylon or amsteel where step is contacted?

I rolled my own with 3/16” amsteel hitting stick and it isn’t fraying yet

went 3/16” because that’d be about impossible to slice thru in one hunt
