I just use a simple cross back paracord "harness" for my binoculars. I have yet to find a good reason for a fancy harness... all I see are negatives... more weight, more movement to get them to my eyes, more crap in the way. The only real benefit I see is less likelihood of scratching the lenses but that has never been an issue for me. The harness that came with my Leupolds went to my kids. Can someone educate me on what I'm missing?

Unnecessary storage for your tags and a wind checker whatever that is.

Since Lone wolf went out. No one has been able to get belts. Now they can…. Just made used Lone wolf climbers worth more.

Supposed to change belts every 5 years.

I have one of their climbers that I cut the base down for a saddle setup and another complete Sit and Climb (I don't use.) It's good to be able to source the belts.

But I think I may end up buying the Crossover Climber when it is released. I wonder when that will happen.

I just sent them a e mail asking.
If it has a 250lb weight rating is it a issue for you?

It's always nice to see a bigger number there, but 250 shouldn't be a problem. I'm 220 during the season, sometimes lighter. So even with gear and outerwear, I should be ok.

If it only rates at 250, I suspect they'll eventually make a beefier version for heavier hunters.

The big question for me is, what will it really weigh. I'm at 10lbs 3oz all in with my climbing platform, and it works pretty nicely and has some features I like.

I like that the Crossover can tilt up higher during climbing without cross-support interference with the tree. But the cross support is a sort of nice foot rest on my climbing platform. I like that the Crossover folds really flat and thin, but that's not a huge gain against packing my cut down base. I also have a versa button tie off on my platform which prevents it from dropping during a hunt. I'd have to use the top or employ a solution to lock the base of the Crossover in if I wanted to just use the bottom. Idk.

It's a pretty nice design though. I'm interested.

Andrae over builds his stuff imo. He had the doubles rated at 250. I know a guy that’s over 300 used them every hunt no issue.
Thanks, good to know. But I think that top section is too narrow for me. Would work early season, not sure when I am bundled up.
I don't think I could afford it anyway. So I need some reasons to talk myself out of it, LOL.

As a traditional climber. The bottom is too short for me. The assault bottom with s&c top was absolute bare minimum for me.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Tx5 minimalist 2.0?
I have one on order. I love the 1.0, and all the changes he made address my primary complaints, so I'm assuming it will be awesome. The changes were minor, but should make a big difference. I use my .5 so it's perfect for that set up.

Soooo….

Any new beast stands coming out?

There was talk of a larger beast stand with a higher rating when the beast stand came out and nothing. Then talk of a smaller beast stand about a year or two ago and nothing. Then talk of a climber last year and…. Nothing…

Considering how long it took the original to come out after we started hearing about it. It could be at least a couple years
