    Jx3 owner questions

I got my JX3 at the end of last season so have not hunted with it yet. I did get a Kifaru Sherman Pocket to use as an internal pack. It seems to fit like a charm attached to the back rest. Very happy with it.

    Dry Fire…

I did the same thing a year ago on a Bowtech Revolt X. Obvious damage to the cams. Shop order the cams and a new string. When in the press he heard a strange sound. Both limbs were fractured inside the limb pockets. You could not see the damage inspecting the bow. I would have the shop remove...

Best pouch/bag for under the seat of LWCG .5?

+1 on the Kifaru Sherman Pocket. I have one on my JX3 and love it.

What will you change/improve for next year?

#1 - get away from quad trails trails. This past year I scouted more than ever. I want to increase that and get better at e-scouting. Get dialed in shooting from the JX3. Get in better shape. More presets with bolts. Presets based on where the deer should be during that part of the season...

    JX3 arrived!

I realize I may be diverging in from another place in the forums. Looks like I have many variations to try out post season. Work with my WE steps. Work with my LWCG minis with cable aiders. work with my bolts. I’m thinking of taking the Bullman Pioneer step plunge but it don’t like the black straps.

    Lightest Climbing Methods?

I am forever in search of a lightweight but workable system that doesn’t require you to be an under 30 tree ninja. kudos for those that can climb that way. Agree on the LWCG steps. I have the LWCG mini with cable aider. Can’t beat the system factor but allot going there. Hawk Heliums are just to...

    JX3 arrived!

What climbing method do you use and how to you pack it in? Thanks.

    JX3 arrived!

Today I didn’t get to the height I wanted. My first time out in a while due to work. Been using bolts mostly this season but wanted to use the WE steps today (I hunt water shed property so not state land and can use bolts). Did not bring ROS as too much new stuff To work on. The WE steps were a...

    JX3 arrived!

First sit today in the new JX3. Carries weight like a champ. 1 mile walk in with 10 x WE steps and Sherman pouch for a pack. No issues at all. Lots of fiddle factor at the tree but more due to the WE steps. Amazing how comfortable it is and how easy to quietly move around the tree.

    JX3 arrived!

JC3, thank you for the feedback. I'll take all the info I can. Any advice on getting into or above cover with the JX3? All the videos and reviews I have seen are all on telephone pole style trees. Work has prevented me from getting out for the 6 Day but will be in the timber Saturday. I'm in...

    JX3 arrived!

I received my JX3. I got a a chance Sunday to try it out at ground level in the yard. First thoughts: it seems really heavy when you pick it up. That said with 10 WE steps inside it caries so much better than my LWCG 1.0, mini sticks and with a pack I couldn’t believe it. it feels like half the...

    Question about bolts..

I love bolts. Last year I spent allot of time prepping trees post season. Will not bother again. By fall you have overgrown limbs, holes need to be redrilled etc. If I have a strong desire for a preset I leave the bolts otherwise drill as I go. The holes will close up over the summer.

    Help my knees please

Thank you everyone for your feedback. @JC3, I have a JX3 on order. Figured no way to know without trying. My guess is it will not arrive to use before the permit season is over but hopefully for winter bow. BTW, I'm Sussex County. I hunt public and the Newark watershed.

    JX3 and packing layers

Thanks Fellas. I wasnt sure if there was a way to stash layers until after you are at height. Sometimes its warmer when I set up then cools later in the day. I just pulled the trigger and ordered a JX3 today. Figure I will never know until I try. Probably a next season thing or at best winter...

    JX3 and packing layers

Hi Folks, I have been reading through all the different JX3 posts. I do really like the concept of not having an additional pack and my stand. What do you JX3 users do with extra layers once you are at the tree and ready to climb? Do you have to get fully dressed before the climb or is there a...

    Help my knees please

I went all in before last season. full on Tethrd setup. Trophyline knee pads plus a heater seat. My knees were a train wreck in short order. It’s because of age and bursitis. Not much is going to change that so I sold everything and went with a LWCG 1.0 lock on stand. I do take anti-inflammatory...

    Evolution of the ultralight stands

As a Guy who went from fixed lock on’s with screw in steps and a Summit Viper for eons then last year went to a saddle then back To fixed Here are my thoughts. Wanted to go mobile. Was a rock climber in the 80’s so saddle was an easy concept. Loved everything about it except two things. I have...

Trail cameras on public land. what's your take

I hunt exclusively public land in the the most heavily populated state per capita in the US. I use a DIY screw in mount with cheap cameras. Hang them 12’ or so in dense brush areas off the beaten path. Since doing that no real problems. A buddy of mine uses the password protection on the SD...

    LWCG .5 with 3 and 4 Sticks + Aiders

I tried the saddle thing last year. I was so into it but age and bad knees killed it for me. I went with the 1.0 and the minis with aiders. I’m 5’8” on a good day with poor mobility. I can get to 18’ no problem. It’s a system that works very well For me. Regarding the second strap. The LWCG...
