    Amsteel & tether material?

It will hold. Just make sure you always keep your tether sinched up tight with some pressure on it. A fall with an instant catch is a lot different than a fall with some slack & then the catch.

    Pistol deer hunting

I’ve never hunted with one but have dispatched a many of um that have been hit by vehicles with .357, .40 cal, & recently 9mm. I’m a LEO. I’d recommend a 44 for actual hunting though.

    Tree steps, simple, easy, cheap

That'd just be like toting a 4' 2x4 & a 50' roll of rope hunting with you. Come on, man up!!! Just kidding!!! LOL There are definitely lighter & better options for saddle hunting for sure. But, for what I was using them for they worked perfect. I wouldn't want to have to tote them in & out...

    Tree steps, simple, easy, cheap

I read on one of the sites with one of the pictures that plans for um were actually included in the National Bowhunter Education Foundation Course too. I was actually shocked at how well they work. They actually seem way safer than some things I've used over the years.

    What's your other hobbies?

Well deer season is almost over here. It's almost time to pack up the winter hunting gear, clean guns, & venture back into other hobbies. So what do y'all do when it's not deer season? I like to hit up the spring turkey season & usually have a decent rabbit & squirrel hunt after deer season...

    Tree steps, simple, easy, cheap

I'm at work so can't right now. I'll try to describe it. For mine, I just tied a loop in one end of the rope. Wrap the rope around the tree & through the loop & pull tight. Then pull the rope the opposite way around the tree & wrap the tag end around the step a few times.

    Tree steps, simple, easy, cheap

So earlier in the year I found a spot on our property I wanted to hang a stand. I had a spare cheap steel hangon stand left hanging under the lean to behind the shop, perfect. Then i got to looking around for tree steps. Dang, I was out of um. Should I have went & got more, probably. But I...

    What rifle is everyone using?

What handguns did you use? I’ve been considering picking up a 10mm.

    What rifle is everyone using?

Mine was inherited. I’ve only shot it maybe 5 times or whatever a magazine holds. Didn’t have an issue that I remember. It’s just heavy as hell & I’m not a fan of autos for deer hunting unless you’re running dogs.

    What rifle is everyone using?

    I actually have an old Remington 742 in 30-06 but it’s a safe gun because it’s a Remington 742.

    What rifle is everyone using?

That’s why I like my 270 in the open fields. Sometimes with the 243, they may run out of sight & then hit the woods at a place where you can’t see them go in. In the woods it’s easy to make a reference point to look for blood if one runs off. On the fields not so much. Everything looks different...

    What rifle is everyone using?

Well, what are y’all hunting with? I have three that go to the woods. My Mossberg 30-30 is for wet weather days or hunting in thicker stuff. My remington model 7 in 243 was my first deer rifle. As you can tell, it’s been used & abused, but has killed a many of deer & is usually my go to because...

    Public or Private?

I hunt both. More private than public with fixed stands on the private. Getting into saddle hunting to use for more public land hunting.

    Amsteel & tether material?

That’s why I was asking because premanufactured was cheaper. Lone Wolf Carabiner Rope / Lineman's Belt https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IXXPM0O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_vXNpCbTVYXDKA Muddy Safety Harness Lineman's Rope, Black/Orange https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TP7U5HM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_BZNpCb4VSGQ94

    Amsteel & tether material?

Where are y'all ordering it from. I only need a short piece of Amsteel for a bridge & like 16 feet or so of line for a DIY lanyard & tether. But, tack on the $18 & change for shipping they want from Wesspur + the cost & I might as well of baught a premanufacted one.
