    Saddle Design and Comfort.

I've made several DIY saddles. The Kestrel Clone, Kestrel Clone 2" taller and longer bridge loops, and a wraptor. The Kestrel that I made larger was more comfortable for me than the original I made following the sizing in the original thread. I just felt the bridge loops were way too long. I'm...

Free sewing machines to those in need.

I have 2 sewing machines I would give to whomever needs them. They will both need a motor and bracket. I haven't gone through them but I'm sure they will need some TLC. One is an old singer and the other is a raico de luxe. I reconditioned my grandmother's singer and bought a treadle table...

Doing with less or how to pack (probably both)

This site has led me to make several diy saddles and a diy jx3. The problem I find is still, using a saddle I try to minimize but can't pack well. I've used dump pouches, sustainment pouches, trench tool pouches, and even a small backpack. I overweight the saddle with pouches. I add suspenders...

    New Method Saddle and SRT

Just got my hand ascender yesterday. I'm going to attempt SRT this year. The Method saddle has gotten my attention. I skimmed the 35 minute video review. For those experienced in SRT climbing, do you think there would be any problems using this new saddle?

Thinking of future tweaks to my DIY saddle and DIY JX3

I plan on making another saddle or 2 and another jx3. The saddles I made are kestrel clones. Bags for rope and storage that fit well and are compact are definitely tweaks I need to make. I'm also thinking about implementing some attachable insulation for the cold days to keep my rear warm...

Wash poison ivy oils out of rope?

Anybody ever worry about this? I'm in a tree right now and single stocked up. I know my rope has to be full of the oil. If so what do you recommend? I know some chemicals can be harsh on certain materials. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Sewing machine! Is it worth the cost?

I found an econosew ddl8700 with clutch motor and table for 400. Appears to be in good condition. They said I could try it out before buying. Is that a decent price? Is there anything to look for on this machine. I'm under the impression this is the same thing as a juki.

DIY JX3 the Wait is Over!!!!

I couldn't wait. It has been several months since I inquired about the JX3. I'm sure like many of you, the response in the email was they will let you know when they are taking orders again. I feel I'm quite capable of DIY'ing. I took on the challenge of the JX3. Built a couple of saddles as...
