    Hoyt satori

I had a Buffalo and a Satori, both were great bows. Nice and quiet with a Mountain Muffler string. The ILF limbs on the Satori are a real plus

    Michigan freak of Nature.

Could be a regulation for the processing facility. Deer does look like one of the petting zoo freaks we have here in TX, impressive as hell if its a real wild deer though!

    Camo Question

Probably the IR flash and UV reflection from the fabric and/or detergent used. How does it feel to know critters see you as a deranged easter bunny, a pink nightmare!

All Call for First Lite Experts

I have the Catalyst pants but mostly use my Sitka Timberlines that are pretty much the same pants up into the 80s down into below freezing with a pair or merino long johns under them. With those Merino pants you'd be gtg for similar temps with a little insulation under them, maybe try the...

Hawk saddle release. As Generic as it gets

I mean its a diaper and some ropes you hang in a tree with... only so much innovation that can really be had. Price seems a little high for an imported product though...

What are you lookig forward to this season?

Oh yeah there are some absolute MONSTERS in the petting z- I mean ranches here...but you only get those big bucks for big $$$ There's some decent deer and hunting on TX public land too to be fair but all in all the state isn't the best for hunting unless you're into pay to play, which is fine...

What are you lookig forward to this season?

Hopefully being able to get my "target" buck and being able to move the F out of Texas so I can have good hunting for next season lol

Do you have a spare bow?

I have a crossbow I could use if I were hunting somewhere it was legal (can't on TX NF land) or I could crank up the poundage on my wife's bow if I needed to. I do always make sure to have a spare release with me though!

    Boot Gaiters?

No, none of these style gaiters are snake proof. They are, however, freakin awesome for keeping you dry in wet dewy grass and crossing streams and mudholes. I have the kuiu ones that are knockoffs of the OR Crocodiles and they have held up incredibly. I've been using this pair since 2016. Has...

    Dangers of a Ropeman 1

Scary stuff... I only use my Ropeman for my saddle, my RCH is on a prusik, I have a stopper knot on the end of my tether and tie a loose another loose stopper under my RCH prusik once im set up at height. I'm far too delicate to fall out of a tree... lol Glad your buddy is ok!

    Binoculars

What's your budget? Will they be only for saddle/thick timber hunting? If you want the best your options are all Euro- Swarovski, Zeiss, Leica. Amazing glass but they ain't cheap. My "out west" binos are Swaro 12X50 ELs If you want good to really good there's a ton of options for different...

    Ozone generator

All VERY good points. I got mine mainly for room and car deodorizing. Do NOT let it run in the room with you or any other animals in it. For gear deodorizing I will let it run for maybe a minute in my 100 QT cooler then shut it off. It doesn't take much.

    Ozone generator

I have one of these, works awesome for de-stanking rooms and cars. I used it for gear too, i'll run it in a big cooler for a few minutes, turn it off and let it "soak" for a bit. Ozone can devour your gear though so be careful. Plus its nasty stuff to breathe in...

    Does thermacell actually do anything?

It works great for TX mosquitoes, I have heard from reputable sources that it does not work worth a crap in CO. Maybe different mosquitoes or an elevation thing?

The everyman's guide to killing a deer with a compound bow...

I am failing to envision any instance where this is not the preferable outcome.
