    Climbing sticks with platform

The closest thing I have seen to Carl's stick is the old Summit Bucksteps. I have been looking for someone to make me a stick like the one he is using in that video. If I find them I will make them popular, after I get mine of course.

    Nutterbuster's Treehopper Recon Sling Video

Ordered last Tuesday, got the size email Wednesday. Got my saddle today, Monday. I am thrilled with it so far. I love that it is actually smaller than my sitdrag and rch. Very comfortable.

TreeHopper Recon Sling for big guys?

I just got my recon sling in this afternoon! Used a sit drag and rch last year. Mark isn't just a good guy to do business with, he is psychic. I ordered a large with rope plates. And then I got to reading on here and decided I wanted the web plates. Decided to wait and see how I liked it and...

    Stacked outdoors stick mods

I think the only mods you could do to these sticks is to add a sling aider and use a versa strap instead of the cam strap. That is all that has worked with mine so far.

    Cautionary tale...truth

Also, the autoblock was a foot below the 8 and the 8 was on my bridge. The problem was all incompatibility of the two cords and lack of knowledge and testing on my part. I have a mad rock lifeguard on the way.

    Cautionary tale...truth

Thanks for all the comments. I guess I should have said what I was using in the original post. Remember, this was going to be my backup method to get down. I was using New England 8mm accessory cord with a Sterling autoblock and an old black diamond figure 8. Even though it isn't recommended, i...

    Cautionary tale...truth

This was my first season hunting from anything like a saddle. I used a DIY sitdrag and a Slomo style platform. 75' of predator rope and I was climbing drt style. But I discovered I am terrible with a throw bag and line so I ordered a climbing stick and tried one sticking to get my line up the...

Right now I"m looking at stacked outdoors and hawk helium. I really want to try the one stick method for trees I can't DRT.
