What is a preset for onesticking?
[/QUOTEClimb in the tree to where there’s a limb above you run para cord over the limb garbage around the tree make it where you can get to it from the bottom of the tree you need about 50 foot tie loop in into the roof where it’s basically like a pulley around the top of the tree where you can hook her up our route to it and pull it over the lamb around the tree so you can run your rappel line up the tree

I don’t know what any other f that means. It’s how I started out. I got the stick with a platform off Facebook all aluminum so it’s light. Last year I used a preadator platform with the stick. Sold everything but the stick and my pop up 18 mr bag wanted more out the platform on stick so I built some for it. And I like it even more now. And I’m way lighter now

Oh, sorry.

Srt = single rope technique. Over simple explanation is that you use a foot loop in tandem with your friction hitch/ascender and not attach your stick/platform until at hunting height.

Mrs or double rope ( can't think of the abbreviation) you climb on both ends of your rope, typically with a Blake's hitch. I've never really tried it but you're 90% set up so I think it's worth checking out.

JRB is a pretty new sort of hybrid system that's a bit like to tandem single rope climbs. @John RB created it, and some of the knots involved. He's got a YouTube channel that covers A LOT of good info. John is a good dude, very knowledgeable and happy to help in my experience

NY saddle hunters is a popular YouTube for rope climbing too.

Get proper training, be safe man. Only suggestions from an unqualified guy.

I do agree. My first season I was planning on one sticking up and down. But that did not end well dropped my stick had to climb down with a extra teather put my foot in and inched down

Even though folks know me primarily as a rope climber, I made this video to apply to any climbing method. When I read your comment that you dropped something, I want you expect for that to happen. That's just one dimension of rule number 10. I am aware of many one stickers who are properly tied in and managing slack. But its important also.

This is just a portion of a very long post on a Rokslide thread about the best way to climb: “A linemans belt is a simple, easy way to keep both hands free while preventing a fall longer than a foot or so, and it works from the ground up to as high as you want to climb.” I’m sorry I can’t find this from my phone search function, but wasn’t there a recent post in which someone described a fall down the tree while using a LB?
