2 tether or die.

And i know my dude put his hand under his tether on his first move wich you never have to do, but obviously he aint scared.you pinch your ropes top to bottom with your finger and thumb when advancing your teather.so your fingers are not under it.

For serious....I can't remember how the 2tc crew is passing limbs....that point in the climb can be dangerous, pinched fingies under a rope from having to advance a tether is another thing that could hurt ya...if u mindful and cautious all the climbing methods relatively "safe" but it's when u get complacent accidents happen. Rope climb probably the "safest" but even with that method there could/can/will be unforseen stuff that could mess u up
Here's a way to make handles to protect the fingers

What is the process for passing limbing again with 2tc?

I have a couple different ways...
Neither of wich uses a 3rd tether or a Linesman rope.
I use prussic loop as a tether handle on my foot tether. If/when I come to a branch I want to get passed, I simply reposition that prussic on 'my side' of the girth hitch and attach a spare carabiner that I always keep on my saddle to my bridge.
Then I can undo my top tether and go up over the branches with it and continue to climb...
It's a piece of cake!

So I don’t see many people using 8mm and 6mm ropes for 2tether. Why is that? Are larger diameter ropes easier to work with? I only ask because I considered making a set specifically for 2tether. Thanks!
