And....we did it without a freak 17 point being checked in the last minute. But you see what they did, don't you? You make a good point and they change the topic to sports. That's how I know I won an argument with my wife. She changes the subject. :tearsofjoy:

That came down to that last minute! No run away race for sure. That is the great thing about these friendly contests, it builds great relationships and friendships
 
I see you guys talking about me! That was absolutely the weirdest year I’ve ever had. I had practically given up on killing anything for the season and decided to go out with my gun. Then these two show up. Shot over the back of one to kill the other and then the one I shot over ran directly at me and turned broadside at 10 yards. I was literally afraid I’d miss him because he was so close.

Putting out a follow up call today on a piece I was essentially promised permission back in March! Gutta knock early up here for coastal permission. Fingers crossed I can get in there, it's always a pocket of mature deer! T minus 24 days.
