Excited to finally see some decent horns. Little 100 acre tract on the side of the interstate. I’ve been hunting this place for 3 years and haven’t seen or got pics of anything more than a spike. Hopefully they stick around

Ultimately, part of it is simply logistics. The more people, the more effort it takes to keep the contest results current. However, the main issue that has occurred in the past is that folks would come out of the woodwork only at signup time never to be heard from again. As you pointed out, it's about building camaraderie so there's some benefit to adding guys who are active here all year around or even at least during season.

That said, I'm not sure what @redsquirrel is considering this year. This is the first year that we've had paying memberships as a pre-requisite so all we all can do is await and see how it unfolds.
Makes sense, I myself am somewhat new to the site and have payed myself, just trying to understand everything going on and never really get any response on my questions. I hope to be able to join and would love to become part of the hunting group myself. How do you know if you meet the qualifications to join?

I'll echo what boyne said here, I run a bowhunting contest on another forum I'm a member of and its astonishing how many people sign up for it every year and never post other than to enter their kill. But on the flip side of that is I'll bet over half of them don't ever enter an animal or post more than 5 times. All they end up being is dead weight and it sucks to be on a team where the majority doesn't participate. I'm considering a rule change for it as well to include the number of posts and/or being a forum member for a set number of years or something, because there is a few guys that only show up for the contest and aren't seen again for 8 months.

Makes sense man, thank you for bringing that up because I never considered that honestly. I know the forum I was on many years ago had some that didn’t post a whole lot but honestly with the friendly trash talking, rob jabs, and cuttin up it honestly was hard for someone not to say something. Honestly I miss it, grew to gain several good friends, learned allot from the page and have several great memories and that is nothing shy from what I anticipate from this group!

No worries, now get to posting so you can join in!

Theres a lot of good guys here, some I consider friends who I've never met but would like to some day. I'm not much of a poster myself, enless its talking about how I'm going to win this contest again lol

Gone for 2 days and y’all leave 4 pages of hype.

Nvm just read it.

Where do I sign up?
How do I become a member?
But at least a couple nice buck pics!

Looks like I’ll make the requirements!! Looking forward to whatever team I’m on!! Missouri has unlimited doe tags plus my 2 buck tags. Come on Sept. 15th!!!!!!

I think you have posted more in this thread than you have have all year since last years contest. :)
That's probably accurate lol I had a very busy spring and summer and didn't get on here but once a day or so and mostly just browsed the DIY forum to see what was new lol

Man I can’t wait for this season! Heading back up to Ohio again for 11days. Gonna see if I can find that one I missed last year and still have to watch the video of me messing the shot up! Our season in sc opens September 15th and I can’t wait.

Soooo let's see this video. It's always funny when it happens to someone else :)
Just uploaded to YouTube for your viewing pleasure! Biggest deer I’ve ever seen in shooting distance! Lesson learned always practice in what you hunt in! My tactacam died so this is my buddy below be filming. He killed a tank two days before me!
