I think there is a you gotta be elevated clause. If not there should be.There's always a loophole.
What if my saddle's bridge was tethered to a tree while sitting on a bucket on the ground???

So, if I'm on the ground, sitting on a bucket but am wearing my saddle, can I enter the deer in each contest?
I hunt out of my saddle off the ground more than up a tree.... disregarding bucket silliness... Why would a ground saddle kill not be the same as elevated saddle kill?I think there is a you gotta be elevated clause. If not there should be.
a kill is kill but I don’t know if it’s considered allowed for the competition or not. It may be that you have to just be hanging from tree like you say ground or otherwise. I can’t remember and I don’t see anything in the rules.I hunt out of my saddle off the ground more than up a tree.... disregarding bucket silliness... Yep....I do just that a bunch....our woods are really thick and if u climb a tree u can't see sometimes. Rake down to bare earth around the trunk and keep on ur toes cause they gonna be right in ur face by the time u see themI turkey hunted from mine this spring. Too much cover to see if I was sitting in the ground. So I set my tether at about 5 foot and hung there. I chose a big tree so I could stay behind it to any turkeys I could hear coming. It worked very well.

So then if we throw a bucket under the saddle on the ground we should be G2G for both contests right????Agree with @boyne bowhunter, hanging at ground level in a saddle has always been allowed. I am confident our members value their integrity over winning a contest with no prizes.
That lovely little device called a thermocell and a high tolerance for flying nuisancesI climbed up last night in the yard, and the mosquitos were awful. Not sure how you southern boys do it.
Ppssshhhh....ur buddy is the point poster. Did he hold ur hand all the way to ur treeJust waiting to post some points I already got in my pocket while you guys make small talk.
He held my hand, it was my spot I brought him to! After I found his buck I can honestly say I have never been hugged by a man that much in my life! He was all worried cause it was a liver shot and the blood had tapered out the night before. Luckily I know where every deer dies in that piece.Ppssshhhh....ur buddy is the point poster. Can’t wait to see those pics man! Best of luckHe held my hand, it was my spot I brought him to! After I found his buck I can honestly say I have never been hugged by a man that much in my life! I'm hunting a way bigger buck in that piece. My goal was to get him his buck first so he could film me. I'm glad we got him done! Now the focus is on the big boy. I got his on film, he got my 2 on film, now to get the true giant on film.
Side note: I watched him struggle to get a shot for 5 minutes, I could've killed that deer 20 times over! Can't shoot a great buck if you settle for the good ones!
So watch out, I'm coming for the title home boy!
