2022 Fishing Thread

This one swung and missed and got snagged on her back, so she got a free pass. Heck of a fight when they're pulling with no head turn.

I didn't have any chance to take photos but we ran into a mega pod of dolphins and they followed the boat for a while playing in the wash and breaching at the bow....clear water and close enough to reach out and touch.....I'm used to seeing bottlenosed dolphins but these were speckled. Atlantic spotted dolphin....great experience but not so great for fishing

A couple pics from last weekend’s trip to the river. Those mud fish sure are fun to catch but rough on gear.

Man, I love catching choupique! Something about a Triassic swamp monster with skeery teeth and the ability to breath air...and they hit most artificials like a truck!

I have a medium-heavy Berkley Cherrywood rod with an abu 5501c3 on it that's my designated grinnel-getter. My local river has a traditional Father's Day grinnel rodeo...if I ever get a livewell I'd love to take the old man back in the stagnant water with some spinnerbaits. Other than that one day a year, nobody messes with them. They're easy and fun to catch.
