2024 Gear thread

It is pricey but not as much as the FHF stuff but probably pretty close if you dont have a Bino chest rig already. This system is built super tough though I don’t see how you can ever destroy it unless you do something purposely to it.

I used this for three days in southern Ohio and one other test day in northern Ohio, worked well, only wrinkle is the person at the other end needs the app, that’s how the texts flow. It’s pretty cool texting a hunting buddy w no cell service.

I run the HPG belt and pouch, a lot of options out there if you want to be creative. I've used that set up fo 2 years as my daypack for archery saddle hunting and rifle mountain hunting here in Pa and WV. I have mine set up to snap my straps in from my platform pack when I use it.
 
elk shape did a video on the UV 3 pin, and Dark Owl Archery who makes a similar scope with a few different option to customize, including some different pin gaps

I was not in the military myself but always chuckle when I see things marketed as military grade- my friends who have served generally didn't have that high opinions of "military grade" items they were issued.

No idea if that applies to electronics/this device, but brought up the memory nonetheless

right the US government wants to spend as little as possible on supplies to the troops. I never blink an eye when the say Mil spec lol. Most of its trash anyway.

Dont knock some of their cold weather clothes. My issued fleece jacket is still one of my most dependable mid layer after all this time.

Boots sucks.....

I was told Kifaru will have a pack or two coming out. They would not share any other details. Hopefully it’s better than the purse and wallet.

Several packs and pouches I have work really well for me. My friends who got in and stayed in tend to joke about some things but overall appreciate much of their gear, the ones who did a tour and got out say everything sucks. Not a lifestyle for everyone and it may cloud opinions. Here’s to those of you who put in time regardless.
 
That stand looks nice, but if it’s 1/2” aluminum I’m out…wondering what grade it is?
