I only have 18 acres for one to run around. They are gonna stay at home when you’re down Geo… they will only be about 4.5 weeks by then. Might have to show her some pictures though….

That’s a short little jaunt… Mine run so many circles around the yard that we have a dirt etched race track on the outer parameters…. Makes mowing the grass quite the adventure as wellI only have 18 acres for one to run around.
West Virginia. Some of my best hunting memories were UKC hunts in Jr High and High School and coming back to an awesome breakfast at the meeting house and listening to some of the best hunters in my eyes of all kinds at the time telling their stories. Fun times for sure.Curious, which state were you running them in? I know some guys in Ga that run pigs and bear with them, but we don’t bear hunt in Florida (yet)…
Tell her you get the “moderator discount”So I made the mistake of showing my wife & she says Florida isn’t that, far how much…… I think she needs the support thread!
Stop with that!! I seriously considered for a couple minutes what it would cost to run down & get one! I Love hounds!!!! We have 2 but they’re indoors & I’m not sure I can take 3 bonified hunting dogs in my living room……Tell her you get the “moderator discount”

I’ve also secretly wanted to get into coon hunting for years, my great grandfather & I used to go almost every night in the winter when I was in high school
So as long as I say it’s not much more expensive than saddle hunting we’re fine right?! Yeah I love the no we’re not interested & then wait your dad is famous, let’s talk…..lolThese are the right dogs for it!
On a serious note, we are most likely selling them for around $800 to $1000 per pup. I hadn’t given it too terribly much thought as I wasn’t going to breed them until her next heat. When I bought her, no breeders wanted to sell a female with an open registration, then I sent a couple of them, my males pedigree… low and behold I got multiple pick of the litter options with breeding rights as long as they can get a pick of the litter female from her in return…. it’s weird how that works
It’s sad. We put our bull lab mix down December of 22 and we still miss her terribly. Had her 13 years and she was the sweetest dogExcellent stuff brother! Sure miss my lil dog. Lost her about 6 months ago and mourn her everyday.
Great looking dogs! How much do the puppies bay? I love seeing a dog work. I have used a tracking dog 2 times for deer. Each time I learned alot about how the deer were using the land. The second deer came from a spot that I discovered the first time I called on Roxy for some help. The first time the deer ended up being hit in the leg (all meat) and we stopped tracking after 600 yds the second time was 5 yrs later which was successful. I have pictures of the first deer the next year with a goofy rack on the opposite side from the leg that was hit. If you look at my avatar pic I have my arm around Roxy a great tracking dog . She found that deer 30 hrs after the shot which included 8 hrs of driving rain. We brought her to last blood and as soon as she crossed it she dropped her nose and was on the track and the deer walked up a stram for 20 yds. I have labs for upland birds and waterfowl. These little jokers are 6 weeks old and all over 10lbs already. They grow up fast….
By the way @Weldabeast notice how the ticking came in and now they look like their parents View attachment 100375View attachment 100376View attachment 100374
A couple of them have already developed true bays and extremely loud at that. The rest are still working on growls, and light barking. Their father has the loudest bawl I have ever heard. Even my other hound owning buddies are jealous (our neighbors hate it though)Great looking dogs! How much do the puppies bay? I love seeing a dog work. I have used a tracking dog 2 times for deer. Thanks Dutch…. They do grow up to be pretty loud. But you’ll never find a more mild mannered or sweet dog to have around other dogs or kids.Man they are good looking pups. I gotta keep telling myself they make too much noise for in town... Lol
