I used some 7mm accessory cord on my previous climbing stick with a harken 150 cam cleat and I could pull it out easily while 1 sticking.
Purchased a BIG B.O.B on here from another user and tried it out today. It has an amsteel rope on it and I could not get it to pull out easily without really pulling hard on it. The 7mm accessory cord I could pull it out softly and quietly no troubles. Anybody have this trouble, or have any tips for it? It’s almost like one jaw of the cam cleat just really digs in to the amsteel when I try and pull on it.
Love the stick by the way, super solid to stand on, the large top step was great for adjusting my tether while climbing, and the stick was rock solid on the tree when going up as well.
