Anyone using a recon saddle?

If you order the site has the med! You need to send a message to him for a small or large.

You would definitely need a SMALL Recon.
And I AM a fanboy so take this for what its worth.
I'm not sure why we have to keep trying to reinvent the wheel.
Slings (the Recon or Anderson) are about as perfect as it can get.
With the correct size, walking in them is NOT a problem. I've walked more miles in mine than I can count.
In-tree comfort is superior to any saddle that I've used, but I confess that I haven't tried them all.
For hauling loaded dump pouches, just use the lineman belt as suspenders. Sling the belt over your shoulders and adjust the length with the Ropeman or prusik, etc.

I went from an anderson to recon. Like them both. I dont like the panel bumping the back of my legs walking so I just wear it above my waist. The only thing in my dump pouch is my tether and rope. I feel like the waist belt attatchments sticking into the plates does not allow my two panels to slide to equal lengths, like the anderson which was loose fitting enough to allow the two to self adjust the length, It doesnt seem like suspenders would help mine as the sides are held tight but that dreaded panel hangs down enough to bump you in the butt. Its still the most comphy lounger out there.

Allegheny Tom has a video on how to reverse the two pannels. This may help with your issue. Additionally, i would add a utilibridge to the tether plates. The Recon is like wearing a belt in the woods when you slide the bridge down into "travel mode".

I love my recon. As @Allegheny Tom is... I'm also kind of a fan boy though. I have a 34" waist and find the medium perfect. I also hunt from 60 degrees to 10 below 0, so it gives me perfext flexibility for different amounts of clothes layers.

I also am. Not experiencing any squeak in the hardware with the rubber coating...maybe because my saddle it self is a little wider than those who went with a small with my body size the pressure/friction angles ate different?

As far as walking in, if I wear mine and clothes arent bulky enough that the belt doesn't keep it in place when walking, I just leave my tether biner on the bridge, give it a few twists, then bring it around my right hip and clip it tight to one of the molle loops.....Works great.

This is exaclty what I've wanted in a saddle for a while and mimics the modded anderson I first did and loved.

I was thinking about the size and the noise but Tom had the same problem as me with noise. I have a small and 32in waist that's what Mark told me to get.

There weren't different sizes when i got mine and knowing the medium was the same size as the original anderson I knew in would likenit.

Do you have the webbing bridge or amsteel plates?

Webbing on both of them. One guy on here had amstel and had noise.

John has said he didn't use them on his sling.
