Looking for new bino harness.. I have been using the vortex one that came with my diamondback 10x42 and a few things I dislike and why im looking for new(to me)
I dont like that it opens front to back, its a bit bulky for what it is, the harness constantly comes apart. I like the pockets on the side but i crammed my rangefinder in it and after a few months it has ripped, when wearing it saddle hunting it seems to be in the way hitting the bridge and finally its a bit noisy.. maybe because of how it opens
So looking for a new made in bino harness that is forward opening and can ride pretty high and tight.. any recommendations?

Very happy with the NEW Vortex glasspack bino/range finder harness that came out right at the start of the season this year.

It open away from you, is quiet, and seems to be more compact than the old standard harness.

So I have a Alaskan Guide Creations in classifieds (it does open front to back unfortunately) but it rode high and tight, had top, side and a zip pocket underneath as well as in front which I kept rangefinder in.

Shoot me a pm if interested

What are you doing with it? Hunting, shooting, or just carrying? I have tried a ton and really like the Marsupial Gear. I had the original no mag and sold it hoping the new design was a winner. I still have regular harness that I used all season. They function well and ride nice. If you don’t need fully enclosed, they had some on clearance. I will try the Kifaru by next season but may just end up with a full enclosed marsupial.
For a cheaper option Nomad makes a forward open harness. Roger’s $50

FHF FOB bino harness. I am running the PRO-M but it opens back but hasn't really cause an issue. It sits very high and keeps tight to my chest and hasn't interfered with my bridge like my glass pack did. The FOB opens forward but a bit more pricey.

I had a Marsupial which was fine but the magnets messed with my navigation. They now have a magnet free version. I'm currently running the new Kifaru harness and it has worked really well for me.

DIY Rick Young style is my favorite:

Marsupial magnet free version. Love it. Magnet version is garbage. Destroys your navigation equipment. It's like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles navigated you to your spot

I haven’t had a problem with my nav stuff but very curious on the no mag. Does the lid interfere with the side pockets like the old versions? I hated that my milkweed container and elk call would get caught up. The new version looks like it would be close to the same.

I recently got the Kuiu pro harness fory vortex 10x42s. I'm very happy with it. I like the elastic opening. Quite and no magnets

This is my favorite S4 gear lockdown. It is very streamline and doesnt get in the way of anything for me.

DIY Rick Young style is my favorite:
Ive used a Rick Young for about three seasons and can’t find anything that suits me better! When I carried a chest holster, I could shrink the Bino distance so it wouldn’t bump my pistol. Can easily pull it off and hang it on the tree or not put my arms through and wear it around my neck. Tried Sitka, the new Kifaru, and vortex…just dont like something attached to my chest anymore, not for how I hunt. Built two more for my other binos also.

I wonder if the JX3 bino pack can be used standalone, without the rest of the JX3. The lid opens away from you, and incorporates a phone holder. Sort of like a chest desk the tacticool set uses with their JTAC or ATAK gear. I've got an older AGC that I like, but the lid opens opposite the way you want.

I am still searching for the perfect Bino harness. The Original FHF was good but I did not like the way it opened and if I leaned to far forward while opened the binos feel out. But weight and comfort was great. I am now using the Marsupial with magnets. I like the way is functions. Way better than the FHF but not as comfortable as the FHF IMHO and while low profile still baulkier tan the FHF. The new Stone Glacier looks like a nice option.
