Binocular chest pack

My current solution is using a Rick Young neoprene bino cover to protect my optics in transit, and a $2 DIY Rick Young harness (shockcord + ITW SurMount Dual CordLoc). The neoprene cover is a bit noisy for bowhunting whitetails, so I ditch it once settled in my tree.

If you think that’s loud don’t try anything else!

I used the Alaska Guide Creations bino harness and then FHF back when I used a treestand. Each had their strengths, but I prefer and still own the FHF. The issue is the cordura makes to much noise for me when something brushes against it. What it has going for it is you can almost silently access your binoculars. The neoprene of the Rick Young cover is sort of noisy to get off to use your binos, but otherwise I like it. Maybe I'll take some of the Amerisuede material I have and sew it onto the cover with an extra wide stitch.... Then it would be quieter.

Though the AGC is a very well made unit I couldn’t handle the fabric noise and the rattling buckles.

You would think someone here would have made a minimalist fleece version by now. @always89y you probably need a new project lol.

I hadn't given a whole lot of thought to making my own either, but maybe I'll give that a shot as well.

An alternative to fleece..... @always89y I've got a fur sewing machine I'm itching to use for something. Maybe we can go with a mink fur binocular carrier to round out the TimberPimp line.

I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything. I need to get a binocular chest pack. I have a harness and after walking through tall grass it breaks and falls into the eye pieces. Almost stabbed myself in the eye.
SO....which binocular bchest rigs are ya'll using and what do you like??? I will be buying something in the next couple of days. Thanks!!!

I have a slightly different (older?) alpz. I stick a flashlight in the side pouch so I always have one in case my headlamp dies.

I like where your head is with the mink bino carrier. Stay with me here.... A mink bino carrier MERKIN. Alway89y whatcha got on that????

Now that is a weird question, why would you only wear your merkin in the early season. Every season is a season to impress and what says impressing better than a mink covered bino carrying MERKIN.

Rick Young Outdoors harness and cover. Slick and streamline. Love it. Also can attach range finder.

I think I am going to go with the ACG just not sure which model. I don't want a harness. I already have a harness but doesn't protect the binoculars and in turn my eyes. I have grown attached to them over the years.

I am fanboy of firstlite and meat eater so take it with a grain of salt. Picture is my current rig, its fine and it was cheap and it checked all boxes.

I have one of these as well. I was hesitant to order it based on the low price compared to others; however, I’ve been impressed. It does its job and at a great price.

I use a shoe lace and put it over my shoulder and sling my binos behind my back. I can shoot while wearing them too. I also can protect them in the rain by putting them under my armpit. Been doing this for years. I use a pair of Leupold 8x32 compacts and sometimes I forget I am carrying them.

I just realized I never said what I ended up getting. I went with the AGC hybrid max. I used it this weekend and I am very happy with it. I also bought the holster, but I don't like the way it holds my USP 45. If feels like the grip is falling away from my body constantly. Although 12 rounds of 230gr 45 weighs just as much as a small child.
