Let me start off with I'd of never tried their broadheads if work hadn't been forcing me to do 20-30 hrs of 60$ an hr OT a week for months now. So I have some play money because I'd never pay this much for a BH. But I've been curious for years so I ordered 1 test head in the Holy Trinity S7 100 grain for 160$.
Couple of observations that struck me right away. They're very dull outta the box. Shockingly so. They don't even bite nail whatsoever. They do have a bigger degree bevel of 40 degrees for durability so I expected less sharpness, but not to that degree.
Second, it looks like the tip was machined incorrectly as 1 side looks like a couple thousands too much was taken out. Its noticable with the spin test.
Third it's a pretty short and stout little head. No matter how hard I tried to flex the blades they don't budge.
I took it to a diamond stone and sharpened it extremely quickly so thats a plus, as you just lay it down and pull in 1 direction.
In the backyard this 1 at least flew like a dart, despite the mishaped head.
Lifetime warranty is a nice plus, as bishop claims these will be the last BHs you ever buy if you don't lose them. Which in my case I'd lose 3 of them in 2 years which is why I'd never buy them.
Tho I haven't shot game with it yet, Im pretty disappointed that a 160$ head has a mishaped head and blunt dull outta the box. 400$ for a 3 pack.
Most probably won't care, but If you wanted to know what a 400$ 3 pack BHs we're about those are some thoughts of mine. My Sevrs will do just fine I think. 20220716_215547_compress85.jpg20220716_215722_compress39.jpg20220716_215732_compress87.jpg

Been following their broadheads for years. If you knew the price they used to be, tbh you would be sick. Pretty sure you used to be able to get 3 of the tool steel fancy ones for that price. Not sure what happened there.
A bummer you’re not happy with your head. Even if I had the extra money, I’m not paying 100$plus for a head. Buttt tbh I’m super jelly and I hope you end up liking them!

Thanks for taking one for the team! I’d definitely be bummed about the things you mentioned, especially for that kind of cash!

I have never used one personally but at least now I know. I can’t stand getting a dull broadhead brand new. For that kind of money you should be able to shave with it. I guess I’ll be sticking with the Grizzly Stik overkill for the foreseeable future! On the bright side you definitely helped stem the economy, so there’s that

You should buy one of his $600 arrows. You know, to test.

We have a therapy thread. Please join us there immediately sir.

Not impressed what I see there for the price. I thought bishop made big single bevel blades. That looks like a fancy G5.

Highly effective broadheads can be purchased for significantly less. It’s your money, spend it how you like. Good luck!

Okay I’m just curious…. Why are these broadheads so expensive??? I understand made out of tool steel. What is different compared to a tuffhead or a VPA??
The deal is you buy the broadheads and are done for the rest of your life. Shoot an animal, couple swipes on a stone rinse repeat till you die. The problem with that premise is you're going to lose them all eventually. There probably isn't a head this strong in the world.

I would screw that puppy onto a junk shaft and then proceed to abuse the crap out of it. Cement blocks, brick walls, bolders, and steel I-beams. Anything and everything would be a target.
I'd break that sucker and see if the replacement is any better.

An update. Killed a doe tonight with the 100 gr bishop. Shot her quartering away from me. Hit just in front of stomach and blew out her front leg bone. Thought smashing through that bone would be a good test of durability. She only went 30 yards and toppled over. Blood trail was terrible.
Anyway, the arrow continued 5 inches into the dirt after her. I washed the dirt off it and initially it looked damn good. And thought wow pretty impressive. Getting home I go to sharpen it up and one of the blades is clearly bent pretty good. It became very obvious when shapening as only certain spots on the blade was sharpening.
Not impressed at all. Time to see if the lifetime warranty checks out. You can see the decent warp in the blade. 20221005_222254_compress7.jpg
