Broadhead choice

That's enough energy for a mechanical. 72 ft-lbs of kinetic energy based on realtree's calculator. For comparison, the grim reaper white tail specials 2" mechanical which leave massive wound damage recommend a minimum of 65 ft-lbs.

I started using NAP spitfire doublecross broadheads last year. I probably won't try another head. They fly great and leave an excellent blood trail. No o-rings, rubberbands, etc.

I've used 3 blade muzzy, 2 blade rage, monotec, and this year vandiems. Rages have worked fine for me. I think they would work well with your setup. I have a 31draw, 66lbs, and a 570 grain arrow. I like heavy with weight up front.

125 grain Deep Six Iron Wills for me - they actually group closer to my field points than Shwacker practice heads.

For mechanicals, I too like spitfires. And yes, your setup is fine for shooting them.

Whatever you shoot make sure the foc is over 12% . I personally like 19%

I am shooting Magnus 125 serrated Hornets as well as 125 Tooth of the Arrows. I shot a few rage last year and they work great! I just like fiddling with gear. My set up is a 30 inch draw at 70# with a 511 grain arrow going 285fps

You will get a ton of different answers for this. Its like the Ford/Chevy/Dodge debate. Shoot what you feel confident in, but shot placement is always #1. Also, check your state laws too. I was hunting in New York when I was stationed at Ft. Drum, and 3 blade Rage, or any other head that created a “barb” was illegal. I personally shoot Slick Tricks, and will shoot them as long as they make them.

Killed two bucks with a rage hypodermic and neither one went more than 60 yards. The second was an awful shot so the forgiveness factor is huge.

Slick Tricks 100 Gr. However, I am thinking about trying the Grim Reapers. A guy had some the other day and dropped one from about 12" up and it stuck perfectly in a wood counter top. When he pushed it over to the side, the tip stayed in the wood the whole time. I tried it with my slick tricks and they just bounced.

Have 2 fixed and 3 mechanicals in my quiver. Arrow weight is 495 at about 275 FPS so doesn’t really matter. I have kudu points for a fixed (wanted to try a single bevel) and the sevr heads as my mechanical.

28” draw 70lbs bow and have been hunting with 100 grain Swhackers. The Swhackers never failed always exited, I’ve only shot broadside deer. I started thinking that I’ve probably been fortunate with the broadside shots and decided to shoot a heavier arrow with 125gr Slick Trick Magnums. I hope to have some feedback on this broad head arrow set up the first week of October.

Guys I have killed deer with lots of different mechanicals but I have shot Simmons heads for years with great results. But I was wondering if anyone here has shot the 150 gr 3” Swacker.I may have to shoot something with one out of curiosity.

I've killed a lot of deer with the shwackers myself. Always had a dead deer within sight. I have tried a couple others, but keep coming back to the old faithful. I can't help but to love them.

I killed a deer with a 2007 dodge ram. But I wouldn't recommend it
Been there, 2 with a 1999, 2 with a 2004. Knock on wood the 2013 is still fur free, not necessarily dent free, but still hasn't scored a whitetail.

Also, so I'm not derailing too much from the topic at hand, I've been a dedicate Rage user for a long time but this year I picked up some Ramcats to give a try.
