Catalyst stick

They look to stack better than anything on the market if don’t mind removing the straps or having to use a daisy chain. Not a big deal having to remove the strap. I plan on doing that myself. Hook them off a carabiner on my saddle. Sure will make it easier packing everything up at the end of the day.
I might try taking the daisy chain off the button and using elastic paracord on both ends of the daisy chain and try to use the grooves they built in to the sticks to wrap the chains around with the paracords attached to the steps somehow. Maybe they could then stack flush hopefully.

If you don't want to remove your straps/daisy chain/rope each time, then this extreme level of stackability doesn't seem super useful. I'd end up attaching foam to the sticks so that a small gap existed for my button with daisy chain.

Put a loop of bungee with a small plastic hook on the end of your daisy chain. Wrap the daisy chain around the stick and hook the bungee to any one of the daisy chains. All you have to do unhook the bungee and attach to the button.

Reached out to Catalyst to clarify. They responded in like 10 minutes. They said the same thing. Wrap around the stick using the Amsteel grooves. Secure them how you want. The Amsteel will come in contact with the standoff on the other stick and act as a buffer making the system quiet.

They are working on a way to connect a versa aider and still maintain the stacking. The only aider that wouldn't work well on these is a cable aider. You could bolt it on but you'd lose the stacking.

The guys at catalyst outdoors sent me a couple versa buttons to try out today.
I think the beveled button will work great with the Amsteal daisy chain.
I plan to test both out and let you guys know my thoughts.
Obviously these won’t work with stacking multiple sticks due to design but for one sticking it should work great.

I tried everything and concluded that 7/64 Amsteel Daisy Chain is the best solution for climbing sticks. My gripe with my Beast sticks is that they do not stack great, which can be a hassle on long treks. The stacking advantage and one piece design looks like the optimal solution. Visiting saddle Hunter is getting expensive.

Very interested in this stick. If they come with different buttons that allows me to use any attachment style I want I'd snag them. I don't care about losing the stacking as I'll bungee them to my stand anyway

They use 1/4-20 threads for the button bolt. You can put whatever 1/4 bolt buttons you want on there.

Great pics thanks. You don't feel the bottom bracket interferes with your footing at all?

I went out this morning and did some more testing with the stick and different versa buttons they sent me.
The beveled button works great for both Amsteal daisy chain and the lone wolf strap but for one sticking I’ll still use the Amsteal the tampered design allows you to pull it off one handed.
The other button also works with either strap and if I wanted to use a lone wolf strap without a buckle I would use this one.
As you can see from the pictures these sticks bit extremely well here it is

holding without a strap.
As for your foot hitting the bottom stand off that isn’t an issue for me I noticed my toes touch but not a problem imo.
