Cheap Stuff that Gets the Job Done

I've been carrying the compass on the left for about 5 years now in the pocket of my turkey vest. Three years ago it somehow switched its poles and really threw me for a loop on a long walk back in after dark. Luckily I knew pretty much where I was and realized the error before it became too much of a problem. Since then I always make it a point to verify its still pointing opposite before heading out in a new area where I might actually need it. I asked for a new compass for Xmas this year (the one on the right).

How the heck did THAT happen?????

The next time that you get stung by a wasp or bee, put straight Clorox on it. You will be surprised how much it helps. I've used it for over forty years and everyone says that it helps. Never tried it on chiggers/red bugs.
I might try that ... I have all these "mystery" bites all over me for the past week or so.

Honestly, I thought the thing was hokie when my wife bought it for the kids (they constantly get ate up when they're out in the yard). I didn't buy into it at all. However, I had some real bad bites two nights ago... bad enough for me to ask where she stores the bite syringe. Anyway, I followed the instructions and had the itching sensation in 2 of the 3 bites go away immediately. The third one was right on top of my ankle bone and I couldn't get a good seal on the thing so I'm not sure I can knock it for that one.

It worked well enough that I told my wife to buy a few more of them so we could keep them in various places. :)
I guess a vacuum pump would work, too. I wonder how it would do on chigger bites? I better remember this.

As mentioned previously, I‘ve never used bleach on chigger bites and I might have to try that. I was wondering though, as anyone who has ever poured bleach on a pair of jeans back in the 70’s to give them that “cool” look would know, bleach tends to give you a really nice chemical burn. Do you dilute the bleach any before you put it on?

I am a retired LEO, and now run a full time pressure washing business. I been pressure washing for approx. 18 years. So I have ruined many a pair of jeans. With the way I see the younger generation dressing, I should just sell them my old clothes.

TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!! I guess someone could be allergic to bleach. But I have never witnessed any adverse reaction.

The clorox / bleach is put on the sting (wasp or bee) straight, not diluted. Again, I have never thought to try it on chigger or tick bites. I believe my friend's mom read about this remedy in a magazine, in the 70s. It has always worked for me and my loved ones. I occasionally get stung washing every year, and the bleach stops the burning on me and my helpers.

I've been seeing a lot of people lately using a piece of cereal box cardboard with white buffing compound as a strop to polish up their broad heads. Gets the job done

Saw someone that shoots at their 3D deer target with the core removed. Instead of buying a new core once it was shot to hell, he just placed a backstop of cardboard paper stack behind it and continue using it. Freaking genius.
I found my target did not last very long, I shot around the core for a while, but I've been shooting it with no core for almost a year. Makes the deer last a lo longer Screenshot_20210910-151701_Gallery.jpg

Less than $10. I like em. Not for guys with bad knees I imagine. But just enough for someone like me who wants a little bit padding.

This 1s so stupid easy but 100% effective u will be kicking urself in the butt like I did for not making it sooner.....
1 Find small container with an opening big enough to fit ur mouth hole
2 fill container with stuff ..I used cotton balls and a paper towel to keep the cotton ball lint from getting in my mouth
3 punch a bunch of holes in the bottom
4 cough/sneeze into container and be amazed how quiet
It's really quiet as long as u can keep a tight mouth/face/container sealScreenshot_20211001-160156_(1).pngScreenshot_20211001-160148_(1).png

If you had real skill, every time you cough, it grunts and every time you sneeze, it bleats.

Laugh it up....I know secretly u are all looking for suitable containers....
It really does work great. A hard cough is almost totally silent

In truth, I immediately recognized the gum container as the same gum my daughter eats.
