By no means an expert but I’ve played with both vanes & feathers. With that being said feathers are going to be more forgiving if you have inconsistent form or release And are shooting broadheads. I shoot 4” trad vanes with a right helical and prefer them because they can be straightened back out and are SO much quieter and cheaper. But take a less than perfectly tuned arrow and screw a broadhead on the front… both feathers and vanes will be erratic in flight. Feathers look “cooler” but the trad vanes to me are what I prefer. I can not notice a change in accuracy between feathers or vanes.
Reporting back: Feathers look beautiful and these wraps I got via @HuumanCreed 's suggestion work great! We will see how they hold up but if its decent at all I will never buy wraps again

I cut my own 4" Shields and have found that a well tuned arrow will guide a broadhead nicely without sacrificing too much drag and speed.
I've used the Bearpaw feathers for a while now and they are great feathers. Ive used every brand on the market and they are in the top two for quality for me.
4" will serve you fine on carbon and aluminum with any half decent tune.

Pink. It's the color not natural in the woods and bright.

I really like pink as it contrasts with woods quite nicely and when I am out roving wearing back quiver the hummingbirds pay me a visit.
those are gorgeous but my dumb butt would lose all of them in the first 10 minutes. Fluorescent is a requirement at my skill level hahah
