Ah. Ok. I originally thought you were making vanes or feather alternatives out of vinyl sheets and wanted in on that action. Giant let down.;)

Wraps make more sense though.

Awww man. My dream of being a Youtube billionaire been crushed before it started! Damn you and your single comment! Just because you have ONE more kid then me, doesn't mean you need to crush my dream man. :fearscream:

What did I say?

Based on today's standard, if you didn't praise me to your upmost ability, or even hint that you are not completely impressed. That's an insult. I used to help privates fill these out in the Army, did you guys have these in the Navy? I'm gonna file one on you! with love of course.

@gcr0003 Thanks for looking out for me man, wasn't offended at all. Pretty thick skinned since my kids like to tell me they don't love me if I only give them ONE piece of candy.

By no means an expert but I’ve played with both vanes & feathers. With that being said feathers are going to be more forgiving if you have inconsistent form or release And are shooting broadheads. I shoot 4” trad vanes with a right helical and prefer them because they can be straightened back out and are SO much quieter and cheaper. But take a less than perfectly tuned arrow and screw a broadhead on the front… both feathers and vanes will be erratic in flight. Feathers look “cooler” but the trad vanes to me are what I prefer. I can not notice a change in accuracy between feathers or vanes.

I ended up with 4 inch shield cut feathers from bearpaw. Thanks for all the guidance everyone!

I've used the Bearpaw feathers for a while now and they are great feathers. Ive used every brand on the market and they are in the top two for quality for me.

4" will serve you fine on carbon and aluminum with any half decent tune.

You're set to go!

I also have been using Bohning fletching tape for many years with very good results- have found lost arrow after winter and feathers were tatered but still very much attached.
