I looked at the Ororo vest last year and decided against it. Not bashing it, but I chose the Scentlok for the following reasons in case anyone else is looking at them.
1. The Ororo has a 4800mAH battery and the vest will run 3 hours on high. That is 1600 mAH. The Scentlok uses 2100 mAH per hour on high, that is 30% more heat output. Yes the battery is optional but with the 20,000 mAH battery it will run on high for 9.5 hours.
2. The Scentlok battery uses the same charger as my cell phone. I can charge it in my truck or at camp with no issues using the wrong charger.
3. The Scentlok has 120gr of Primaloft insulation. That is twice as much as my Primaloft LL Bean vest. So if something broke, I still have a functional warm vest.
I do not currently have any Scentlok stuff and the scent control in my opinion has no values.
Edit: Must have been short on coffee this morning. I did not factor in the voltage difference of the two system.
The Ororo pulls 1.6 amps at 7v for 11.84 watts.
The Scentlok pulls 2.1 amps at 5 volts for 10.5 watts.
So the Ororo putts out about 12% more heat.
