Deboning\Packing out in Louisiana

yes, but now we're getting told by some that with the new electronic tagging you dont have to have this because the deer has been validated in field....
They're going to need to reword the regulations. They should have clarified it better based on pre/post validation. After validation, you've legally submitted it, and can't change it after that, so you should be able to just pack meat out and not worry about the sex identification part. Hopefully, you get a clear answer from your email to them.

thats how i feel. The process is new so i get it, but they're leaving it up to agents discretion to ticket you or not

In MN, the law doesn't say that we can't cut up a deer in the field. It does say that we cannot dispose of any part of the carcass, except the gut pile, on public land. I'd check the LA regs book to make sure they don't have a similar provision regarding carcass disposal. I guess I could bone a deer out in MN, but I'd have to pack the bones out with me so not much point to that....

The wheels of bureaucracy turn slow my friend. It would be nice if they made a quick decision about the issue but it’s probably low on their list of priorities.

Years ago I volunteered as a “professional advisor” to a local gov’t agency. Lord have mercy, watching paint dry was fast paced compared to watching the gov’t sausage being made :D

Just thought of another avenue if your email to the colonel or Adam go unanswered. You can submit a public comment to be heard at the next commission meeting. Submit those to: Tommy Tuma by phone at 225-765-2349 or by email at ttuma@wlf.la.gov.

I don’t know if it would be too much to ask, but would you mind screenshot in the email and posting it just so we all maybe have proof?

my pack should get it done....you could always just toss the meat in a garbage bag and throw it over your shoulder...walk out da woods like santa claus
Eh no deer here in LA once gutted is going to be over 100-120#’s. Throw it over the shoulders and walk out with em, quarter/debone at home. No need for anything extra of that in the woods lol

this dad bod aint packing no deer over my shoulders for over a mile lol
If you did it enough you wouldn’t have a dad bod lol on another note I never got the dad bod thing, I have 5 kids and a 6 pack and so does the wife are people with kids supposed to be out of shape? Sounds counterintuitive, you have to be in shape to keep up with kids.
