EZ V sight

I just made the switch.. took about 20 arrows to be comfortable. Had a Range Rover pro and using Aaron’s method of switching from an existing sight didn’t take long to get it dialed in.

How do you like it. How hard was it to get use to? Would you get rid of a pin sigjt.

I liked it. Took a majority of the guesswork out of shot placement and distance.
I found it mildly difficult to get used to. Takes some brain retraining. Some people find it easy, some hard.
I wouldn't get rid of my pin sight. Always like hanging a fallback.
As to why I used to own one, ultimately I could never accurately visualize the vitals size. I read all the articles watched all the videos etc and could shoot robinhoods at 40 yards in a bag. But in the stand it just didn't translate and I kept missing. After I missed my third deer I said nope. I owe it to myself, my game and the hunting community to stop. I say give it a shot tho. It really is a cool piece of kit. Try and pick up one used.

I put one on my bow last season. I've never used a peep but had a red dot sight on my bow previously for better than 15 years. Centering the dot made sure my anchor was good. I love the open view and simplicity of the EZ-V but the biggest adjustment for me was having to redevelop the use of a stable anchor point.

This spring I put a Bowmar nose button on my string and now I'm consistently shooting as well I ever have with it. Just touch the button to my nose, focus on the target and the arrow just goes there.

I love mine. I really like being able to see the whole target. There is a bit of a learning curve. I had to get out of my head and learn to trust the site but after my first session (about an hour) I made incredible Improvements. Each practice session my groups got tighter. I personal would give it a try. Aaron really impressed me answering all my questions quickly and really helped with my learning curve. I was not one of the guys who took it out of the box and started shooting Robinhoods.

Okay ill look at more videos and seen what i think. Jist worried that figuring out shot placement will be hard in the moment.

I started out more using the tic/pin marks on the edges with my bag target. You technically can use it like a pin sight if you know the deers yardage. Advantage is still having a wide open picture of the deer. Just stare at the spot you want to hit and rise the correct marks on the distance and bam... dead deer! Lol

3rd season with mine. I'll buy another 1 for any future bows.....for closer range hunting it is great..... if I was consistently shooting longer distances I'd stay with the slider
That's funny . . .my experience was exactly the opposite. Inside 20 yds I don't know that I'm as good with the EZ-V, groups are inside a baseball as opposed to inside a golf ball. Outside of 30, where my aging eyes struggle to discern between pin and target I've gone from grapefruit to baseball size groups. Another demonstration that we're all different.

That what im worried about is placing the v in the right spot. I guess have to get it and see how it is.

Yeah you will have to see.. might not work for you but did to me and I was skeptical. In one of Aaron’s videos he says the brain just automatically does all of the left to right aligning and he was right. It makes no sense how it works but for me it did.

I stay 30 and under..... there isn't an insert slow enough for me to use the V as intended with my slow bow and heavy arrows

Truthfully I limit my hunting distance to 35yd at the very outside. I'm typically setting up for inside 20 when I'm picking trees in a hunting situation. I will occasionally shoot to 40-45 during pratice when I'm practicing out of a tree just so it makes my self imposed limit shot seem closer when it counts.

Edit: My setup is pushing my arrows in the 240-250 fps range.
