Got sticks

One sticking seems like a pain in the butt to me. I'll try it in the off season but I'll have to do to believe. I like the sticks because it's a much quieter, quicker, easier method for me than messing with tying on a step every few feet. Its not the weight of the sticks that's annoying to pack in. It's the bulkiness and length. I could shorten but 3 sticks and 1 5 step aider gets me to perfect height. Maybe I'm wrong and one sticking is great. I'll have to try it out.

Messing with one stick is quieter and simpler than messing with three. Carry multiple sticks pack up and take down equals noise.
Rappelling down is quiet fast and safe
When it is cold one stick is nice to pack up
It is really not much different than climbing with a climber and coming down by repel is easy

I've never looked into the single stick climbing technique...... Are you able to switch trunks? I climb a bunch of split trunk trees

When you use a e-bike carrying 4 Lonewolf sticks isn't a problem and climbing is simple. I put the first step on and hang 2 over my shoulders put the second one on and away I go. I attach them to my bike with Gear ties on the back rack so when I get to my tree all I do is untie the Gear ties and up the tree I go.

But can you legitimately say “I’m Batman” with 4 sticks

Okay, I'm in. I do not want to buy all the bunch of equipment I do not need. Guide me to be best video and devices.

This should help you.

I forgot to mention in the video that once I rappel down I remove the Safeguard and autoblock before pulling the rappel rope down. Also the only rope I mention in the video is 6mm, that’s the rope on my stick. I DO NOT RAPPEL ON 6mm line. That is way out of spec of the Safeguard.

I was waiting for you to climb the steel pole in your basement. :confused2:

The main driver for me going from multiple sticks to one stick was packability.

I was comparing my buddy's climber setup to me with 4 sticks and I said to myself "there's no way I chose a saddle only to be encumbered by the bulk and burden of 4 stacked sticks. Otherwise i should've just gotten a climber"

And the funny thing is that once he saw me show up with a daypack and one stick he now wants to switch over to a saddle.

I don't rappel down so even though one-sticking may be a bit slower than multiple sticks, I'm in no rush to get down a tree so it's a non factor

What saddle is that?
I'm wanting a Kestrel Flex in a size 2. . .at least I think I do. I have not tried one out, but from what I've read and seen, I believe that could be the one. I would like to know if there is anyone with in a reasonable driving distance to Floral City, FL who has one I may come and try out before I drop $385.00+ and wait around for months on end only to find out I don't really like it.

This should help you.

I see the concept. . .but, I want to see this actually done on a tree. This seems pretty cool to me! Thanks for the video.

Thank you for those vidoes . . .I see how this works now and I want to give it a try this weekend. seems pretty easy and straight foreward.
