I didn’t say it couldn’t be done. Plus he said he doesn’t have a lot of cord to work with or something?I do it that way every time I climb...
And you’re a PITA so it suits you

I hear ya. It’s a 7mm accessory cord @ 8’ but after knots it’s probably 7’. It works okay just pulling through a cam cleat but there’s not a lot left over on big diameter trees. That’s where I’m thinking for a rope mod it might be just a little too short. Maybe you’ll say otherwise. I did consider a rope mod but that’s why I didn’t list that idea in the OP.How long is too short? There shouldn’t be much difference in length? We can’t help you pick the best option without more details. What are we working with?
Sounds like you need to just go to Walmart and buy a cam strap…
You mentioned having a spare tether, you can use that but just make sure you leave just a little slack so that you can pull the stick up to remove it after each move since the tether won’t be adjustable after tightened.
beat me to it lolI didn’t say it couldn’t be done. Plus he said he doesn’t have a lot of cord to work with or something?

This pleases meAnd you’re a PITA
I do like this idea a lot though too.You mentioned having a spare tether, you can use that but just make sure you leave just a little slack so that you can pull the stick up to remove it after each move since the tether won’t be adjustable after tightened.
You don’t need a lot of rope for the rope mod, I never had more than 7 foot. 7 foot will do a 2 ft diameter tree. If you’re one sticking a two diameter tree or larger you’re not going to be having a fun time.I hear ya. It’s a 7mm accessory cord @ 8’ but after knots it’s probably 7’. Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I might look into this for the future. I don’t think I’ll try this now because I don’t have time to practice tying a rope mod and dark thirty on opening day is not the time.You don’t need a lot of rope for the rope mod, I never had more than 7 foot. 7 foot will do a 2 ft diameter tree. I know you’ve already decided to do something else but you would have had enough rope.
Where are you located?Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I might look into this for the future. I don’t think I’ll try this now because I don’t have time to practice tying a rope mod and dark thirty on opening day is not the time.

@Chrighton have I seen you use a Micro 150?
Thanks- I passed on installing the Micro when I realized the hole alignment would be off, plus my cordage is too big for the max spec diameter the Micro can take.Your mounting holes are not going to line up from the micro to the 150 though. They have seperate drilling templates.
