I have never saddle hunted before or even been in one. I would like to start prepping trees now and practicing shooting form one but I need a saddle to do so. I ordered a Aero Hunter Kite but as you probably know its on back order until mid September. I have a rock harness and sit drag on the way, which leads me to the question:

Can you hook me up with detailed instructions on how to make a tether and lineman's belt? Or at least send me a link where I can find the instructions?

I looked through all the DIY posts and didn't find quite what I was looking for. I could wing it and do my best to figure it out, but I figured you guys would be more than willing to help. Also, any instructions or tips on using these devices would be greatly appreciated.

You didn’t mention a bridge. Do you have that covered? It is mentioned in DIYSportsmans video.

You can go super simple and get an HSS tether.

Or you can order some climb rated rope and use the same rope for bridge, linesman and tether. Probably 10mm would be a good compromise.

If you’re DIYing your tether, you will need smaller diameter rope for a prusik or something like a Ropeman 1. And you’ll need a carabiner.

Thanks, all this is already helping me out a bunch!
