How many people actually use a bino chest rig?

I use the Kuiu chest harness and it’s become a part of my body when hunting. I understand some of the concerns for it being bulky but with a pair of 10x50’s…it’s quite manageable.

I listened to some of the advices given, trick is to get one that ride high and close to the chest. I'm using a Mystery Ranch Bino Harness. On the walk in, I have a Thermacell on one side, and grunt tube on the other, this work really well as I dont have to remove the grunt, just lift the harness a little and lower my head. Inside main pocket would be my rangefinder, bleat can, extra release, and dynaglide rope. In small zipper compartment is spare flashlight, lighter, knife, tapes, band-aid, glove, and a ziploc bag.

Another vote for the Marsupial with two additional gear pouches. I keep my rangefinder in one and my release in thr other. The magnet closure is very quiet and holds closed well.

I don't end up using this as much after the leaves fall. I find that the Binos help me see through foliage.

I just use a chest strap from Sitka. it’s like $29. If it’s rainy snowy I’ll tuck it in my jacket. Sometimes I take it off and clip it to my gear strap.

I use an fhf bino harness and love having my binos on me. I don’t even like hiking without them. I really want to try to ditch the backpack and use an hpg chest pack with some more compact binos, but haven’t made the jump yet

I want to do this too. Maybe for the youth hunt.

At 56 I still don’t require glasses, but my eyes aren’t what they used to be. This year I opted for a Marsupial gear pouch and Maven 10x42’s. I’ve used it on 3D shoots so far and had no interference issues. Looking forward to see how I like it once season starts.

You have pics/list of how yours is set up? Right now have the double pocket insert in it. Need to pick up a rangefinder pouch probably at some point

I have mine set up with the bino bucket and one of the pouches from the turkey setup, internally. I have their accessory pouch on the bottom. If I had to complain, it's that I would like it 1" wider lol.

Gotta pic? And a website?

Here's a pic from the website:

I made my own, it's super easy. You can do it for about $12 in supplies if you use any cord lock you may have around. (And have enough cord to make several more and enough connectors to make a second). I bought the same Ravenox cord lock as the Rick Young Harness uses and made several. If you only need one, the Ravenox cord lock is not cost effective.

OP/TECH USA 1301112 Mini QD Loops - $7 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A8EIPJQ

1/8-Inch (3mm) Black Heavy Stretch Round String Elastic Cord (Cut of 10 Yards) - $4.65

Ravenox Cord Locks for Paracord | SurMount CL Dual Cord Lock | Dual Cord Stopper for Bags, Apparel Use | Drawstring Cord to Secure String, Rope, and Twine | Shoe Lace Locks for Camping Accessories $12

Edit: Bass Pro has them for $20 otherwise :)

wish the zippers weren’t so loud.. what binos do you have? I’m hoping 10x42 vortex diamondbacks will fit?

any bridge interference?

This right here. You can put so much in one of the AGC harnesses. I'm also on the East coast and carry binos every hunt and also always have an extra pair in my car. The AGC is great because you can have your range finder and so many other things in it. If the situation is right you can leave your pack in the car.

which AGC do you have? Do you think the hybrid Would get in way of bridge?

I'm running 8x30 binos for what I need, a lightweight set of 10x42 might work, but I think you'd be pushing it in the bino bucket... I have no interference while leaning, but sitting it should be expected.
