How much have you spent on your saddle setup?

Did @enkriss post yet? I’m taking over under bets on 10k. I know he sells everything too but still!

Saddle, ropes, gear hoist, carabiner, gear holder, platform = $500

I already had the stickes from mobile hunting
The saddle was a Christmas gift from the wife so I should be able to minus that, brings me down to $300.

I bought a mystery ranch sawtooth pack but that is used for saddle hunting, hiking, West hunting and camera setups. Tough to say its only for saddle hunting. If I wasn't saddle hunting would I still own it......probably not....crop another $350.

So between $650 and $850 but could argue only $300 in the court of law.

One thing is certain. Wives are more expensive than all the saddle hunting equipment I've bought, or could buy. Maybe not boats. :D
That really depends on the wife. I think mine made more money in the 22 years we have been married than cost money. She is thrifty.

Mine is so dang cheap it’s embarrassing at times. I’m all for being thrifty and living within our means but goodness if I want to buy a friggin pizza on Friday night I don’t want to hear any lip! We never eat out and when we do splurge on a fancy fancy meal we are usually left dissatisfied. This only encourages her not wanting to spend any money eating out haha. I can’t really complain though, the women saves money and keeps me from spending too much too. It’s better than being in debt and poor. I’m glad she’s not a spender! She doesn’t have a problem with me getting toys either but I’ve been pretty modest in my saddle hunter spending. I’ve sold or bought and resold everything that I have thus far besides my sticks and I got those two years ago so they don’t count. Sold my hang ons and other various items to get in the door.

Three F rule. If it flies, floats, or
It’s cheaper to rent it.

That lesson came to me from a guy that had a plane, a yacht, and a wife.
Wow. This should be a sticky. Pun not intended at first but now yes. :D

My husband is dying I’m purchasing my first saddle set up now and he’s pointing out all the other things in life that I could be getting With the money.... but I’m committed!

Sounds like you got yourself a wife, not a husband. :p

J/K - I'm just here for the comedy

Bit the bullet on the ewo ultralight sticks. Brings my total up considerably.

3 ewo ultralight sticks
Solo scout
3 amsteel daisy chains
3 helium hawks
Topstep platform
Harken rope cam
8 & 6mm oplux 30ft of each
Ropeman 1
Madrock safeguard
Original leather saddle
Hunter safety system for original tether
Tethrd mantis
12 primal steps
Some webbing and kydex
Probably a bunch of stuff I'm forgetting
Countless work hours spent obsessing
Indirectly got me into bows which is a whole different can of worms
Oh, and a hospital trip, surgery and pt for my fingers

I don't even want to add it up. Added to my firearm addiction Im never going to retire. If I start eyeing sitka gear just kick me in face.

That being said I can't wait to get my new sticks and get in a tree with my bow this year. So damn excited I can't stop thinking about it.

Is this question how much have I spent on the setup I am currently using or the entire cost that I can blame on saddle hunting?

I went the total I can attribute to saddlehunting it just got me thinking. Current set up once I recieve my new sticks should be at 800-900.

Oh lord, my wife had her credit card declined when we were dating 36 years ago. Been married 35 now and she will quit spending money only when she passes
