I used them last season. To be honest I’m torn this season weather to use them as a preset or mobile hunting.
The hot pink ones make it easier to find for afternoon climbs, but you have to remember to hang the pinks ones as your 3 or 4 set.
At 6’”4, 275 and size 13 shoes I found it sometimes a little challenging to maneuver on the steps, especially at the -25 temps I hunt.
I’m experimenting using a diy rope mod with Amsteel and think the weight savings will be impactful…
As far as packability is concerned, what I have found works best is I strap 4 on each leg (two on the thigh and two on the calf), and then three on each arm. This gets me to my hunting height of about 8ft.
I’ll attach pics as soon as I figure out how to get out of this straight jacket.
I’ve added videos to my YouTube channel

Ps of there are any people that have Carbon experience, I have some crayon drawings / plans so could test making some carbon fiber versions.
EDIT: in the cases where I need to get a little extra height, I’ve drilled a hole in an extra step, allowing me to super glue my headlamp into to. I’m calling it the GIMHLM (pronounced “Gimmel”) - (G)lue (I)n (M)y (H)ead(L)amp mod. Patent Pending
