I like this thread. I’ve been loading deer like this for a while now. The 2 on the roof ruined my struts last year so now she’s a low rider but she’s still kickin.

Ok, so now i know i have found my people. Hunted from a 1995 honda civic (4 door) for a few years while in college. Florida deer fit well in a body bag..but people look at you strange.

Gotcha. I started noticing them after i bought my forester and while I think they are a crappy truck, they're a perfect car with a place to put a dead animal...

Oh yea… handles like a car on the highway, no guilt when baja’ing it down a logging road, and plenty of room in the back for bear camp and dead animals.

Love this thread... Amongst my friends I'm the only redneck that throws there deer in a car. The thing is, I have a pickup.. I just drive the Corolla a lot more to work and as a run about because I have to drive a bit to get away from hunting pressure, and fuel costs pain me in the truck. Plus on some parcels a car is more incognito than a pickup with this or that hunting sticker in the rear window. Some dudes think having a new lifted truck will make them a better hunter or something. They just want to look the part. This thread laughs at them

I have a pickup but use a mini-van until the snows make it impossible. It's not hard to load 'em in my truck bed, but it is easier to stick em in the back of the van.

Growing up we always had cars and put em on top. My first buck ever, on the trip home I ordered some Burger King and when I got to the drive thru window the attendant got all the employees to come check out the buck and they were cheering and congratulating me. Man how things have changed. Now I keep em out of sight. But I honk and thumbs up when I see a nice deer on a car or hitch hauler.

I've shared this before, but one of my favorites was driving the 2hrs home with my dad, his hunting mentor, and my brothers stuffed in a Geo Metro with a black powder doe on the roof. I think that was his mentors last hunt, for sure in the mountains. It was great.

That's two in a Pontiac g6 lol the Ole crapbox truck kick the bucket haven't replaced it yet...5 deer later the back of car may raise questions to non hunters

I almost never take my truck hunting because to get anywhere I can hunt is at least a 45 minute drive each way and my wife's car *got* nearly 2.5x the gas mileage and had Bluetooth radio and such
