My buddy at work has learned that when I throw out the fish food he gets easy minnow meal.....he won't let me pick him up yet but I can lightly touch him and he's cool with that.....florida banded water snake. 12-16 inches....baby

Yes I just assumed its gender...

I had a water snake as a pet one summer when I was young. He ate minnows and frogs. I could pick him up without biting. He loved to lay on warm concrete and soak up the heat on cool days. He didn't try to escape.
