Not a joke or a meme but something I have noticed thru the years of hunting fla public land that I think is real funny

I been keeping a mental note of the response to this question whenever I encounter fellow hunters.....answers very by season and there are a few exceptions here and there but the answers are so consistent year after year by an overwhelming majority....

Me: did u see anything?

Archery season response...just a couple hogs
Gun season: just a couple does
Small game season: I seen a nice buck

Outta staters might not get it but if u hunt public around here u will get it

Its the same here in the north, just have to substitute yearlings for hogs. :)

Years ago a buddy and I were out bird hunting, and we stopped at a boondocks cafe for breakfast. A local ambled up and asked if we had seen anything. Before I could answer honestly, my buddy volunteered that he had taken several "sound shots".
"Sound shots?"
"Yeah, we heard some sounds and shot at them. Didn't sound like we hit anything, though."
