You definitely did not have the right size or have it set up correctly for you when you borrowed it. If you are able to be comfortable in a sit n drag, there is no way you should be uncomfortable with a kestrel. I will have my size 2 at saddlepalooza.God, I hope so.
I really held back on telling the story! Lol
I was ready to jump out of the tree. First hour not that bad. Second hour pain and lots of it. The bridge was crossing my pants belt. Pinching my hip. By 2.5 tears were flowing praying for a deer to walk up or death to release me from the Chinese torture device that held me to the tree. How’s that? Lol
I hope to try out a size 2 at saddlepaloosa. Maybe change my mind and I can change my review.
I want to ad the Krestel is a high quality piece of equipment. Nice stitching, good quality materials. I will also say that was one sit.

Never had a problem with the Kestrel. Very comfortable and I have hunted out different saddles over the years and the Kestrel is my favorite. I actually like it better than my Guido's Web.Im getting ready to order this saddle but just have one question for folks that have one. Does it hurt your sack sitting in one of these? I mean are they decent to sit in, be honest.
I know. But we're gonna change your experienceI agree and looking forward to trying a size 2.
I want everyone to understand I’m not badmouthing the Krestel in anyway it’s a fine product. I just didn’t have a good experience and am giving my honest account of that experience adding a little humor.

Same here. Kestrel is a whole lot comfortable to me than the Evo in every top and bottom iteration of size 1 and 2. That being said, I currently have a size 1 and will have a size 2 in about 3 weeks for comparison. It's hard to imagine additional comfort but I won't know until I try it myself.I agree. I tried both sizes of the Evo and never could get comfy in it. The Kestrel is far better.
I believe this thread has all the info.

That is it. I am in the process of making various sized ones out of camo fleece (to include some fall gray from Predator). I had a long post here but will start another thread as it was off topic. I will say that the kestrel for me was comfortable this year - but it is going into retirement.
