There is obviously a bigger issue with the manufacturing/design. Just wish there was some transparency.
 
I finally got around to fabbing some aluminium but my welder has not put it together yet or I might already of canceled my order, the race is on.
I did the folding leg on my Alpha an it works great but being a tinkerer I decided to try making it hang on adjustable without cutting the casting itself.

I think the stability that some guys said was lacking on theirs and even on the ambush is a matter of using a whoopie and camming the stand in after its hung.
I should test it soon.
It may lead to another canceled order.
 
I got a reply to my email. They said Ambushs started shipping yesterday. More going out today and tomorrow.
 
Do you suppose that posts are first before shipping on new orders?

Glad folks are getting their stuff. I feel kinda guilty because mine was quite usable after they sent me a button. I've had a lot of fun shooting deer off of it.

The manufacturing thing is definitely sucky. Not really unique in the industry though. I believe I ordered a predator around June and got it September? And then watched the gen 2 come about within a week of that. Didn't sink Tethrd's ship, and I sincerely hope it doesn't sink LWCGs.

I have been very, very pleased with the sticks and platform, and will most likely be ordering another after unloading some gear I don't love. And I didn't even buy the ambush with the intent to keep it. Planned on seeing how the sticks packed with it, hunting with it for a few weekends, making a video or two, and recouping the cost on the classifieds.

I don't disagree to your feelings, and a definite first world problem it is, but, I do believe that when you pay $300 for a product, it better be right. I have sent a few lock on stand back that the cables did not share the same amount of weight on them. It seems very petty for me to ask for a replacement post due to the bolt holes not being right but they weren't and I just feel that for that price range, it should be right.


on another note, has anyone modified their outer teeth and found a way to minimize the slippage?
 
I kinda got mine. It says please allow two or three days for the tracking info so I might have it by Thursday.
At this point I'll likely keep it but my piece got welded yesterday and tonight I will drill and tap it and test it tomorrow.
I have a good feeling about it and either way the folding leg is proven.
Ambush will be lighter and prettier but I think that's as far as it goes.
The weight difference is always nice but not a big deal to me.

I may just love the ambush.
