Live from the saddle 2022

Got off work early, sat for 4 hrs and saw no deer again(2nd hunt)...but I did see a little grey fox(look closely on the trail)for the first time in its natural habitat! He spent alot of time looking at me while I fumbled to get my phone to take his picture! He/she was very cute!

First sit of the year for me, man I’m rusty. Second year saddle and first year using the .5 and I setup for a treestand not a saddle hybrid. Oh well. Also need to figure out a better plan for the pack. Practiced with it hanging off by saddle all summer and now it’s way more full and feels too heavy for that. Hoping to smack a doeski to put some points up for team 4.

The woods is alive tonight, I had a hard frost here last night… spotted a nice 2.5 yo earlier in the day, just had a doe get down wind of me…she didn’t spook bad, I’m hoping to fill my doe tag, we will see..

Same here. Set up on a white oak patch on the edge of the swamp. Big buck turds everywhere. There's a big 8 point in here, hoping this storm gets him moving early. Rain is supposed to start right after dark and continue through Tuesday.

Been a long year for me..I've had cameras out with dead batteries fir 10 months, ha! Just hunting the back ridge of my property.
