Well I’m trying another new spot for me. Snuck up to 15 yards of two small doe on my way into the area. Hope that’s a good sign.

They're definitely moving but no deer were shot at tonight. One quality buck passed by a buddy.
I snuck right in to a spot about 60 yards from where I suspected a doe or two to be. They were there but didn't have company.
I was able to redrill a couple previous holes and was settled in minutes. My Drey is now on a RCH with no linesman loops. No issue using it as if it did....access to the front was easy enough. It's really simplified things. Forgot how much I missed a ROS.

Dropped out of the tree at dark to see a big body deer behind me. To bad it didn’t come by 5 min earlier. So much for rut cation now it’s back to work the rest of the week.

Was at that public creek crossing again today. Wanted to stay through the evening but I had to pick my kids up from practice.

A lot of talk on the forum lately about bucks locking down with does and being out of bow range…. I can only hope that happens to me today because I brought the LONG BOW!!!View attachment 75543View attachment 75544
Dont really know anything about moose hunting but that spot just looks like there should be a moose in the picture to me. :)

Yes absolutely, I see one almost every season sometimes more, and it’s always in a spot exactly like this every time, I hunt the Adirondacks all season.

Tell us about the bag

The bag? I have a bandana around my fletching.

Finished the evening taking calls from work....lol. Answered a call, put the phone back and grab the bow type thing. Looking for the right one. They are definitely right in/on edges and bedding cover.

Did the 'ol hit the ground and run like a scared critter....don't even try to hide the noise. Had a buck on the other side of a couple hollys from me....wouldn't leave. He kept hearing me scuff the tree and was super curious. I was getting tired of standing on my steps half way down. I can't say I ever heard him run away.

Zero sign, and ate up with deer. Just inside that magic edge. Add the right wind and its what you look for. This is the rear view, protecting my backside. Still had one stupid 4 pt wind me. Didn't blow out, but he caught my wind.

Deer #2 down! Too little time between setup and indiscriminate arrow flinging to take pictures. Plus it was dark and almost raining. I was soaking wet from a challenging 2TC climb and thankfully got a redemptive 2nd shot. Full story coming on the Team 7 thread! Plus my big ten is coming in earlier!20221107_170701.jpgScreenshot_20221108-191708_SPYPOINT.jpg

Deer season has to be the only plausible explanation to be parked on the side of road jamming contact lenses into blood shot eyes at 3am while listening to AC/DC, hey in case anybody is wondering the rut is here…….LOL

Been cranking the Game of Thrones theme song the last few days getting ready for this weekend and the next few weeks. Every time you hear it, you it's fixing to be raining death.
