Back up on public this am. About a mile in. I found this scrape last season put a camera on it to soak all early spring summer and fall. . Had a couple of shooters and also a beast of a black bear come through. I’m hoping something filters by. The wind is supposed to be southwest but it keeps shifting. Hey it’s the rut I’m gonna be in a tree!!

Had about 3 inches of rain here over the last couple days. This was dry last time I was in here. Glad I wore the right boots for the walk in!
Slow here. Was 74 at 9 am. My buddies hunted this morning....one didn't see anything until after 8. Lots of doe movement right at dark in the evenings.
I did yard work. Things are going to get busy with the pending temp drop. Our young boys (14-16) have passed some nice deer. I'm really impressed with their ability to hold out. That being said, they've been given the green light. This one would've been one kids first buck.

The golf course in town near me finally closed and I was 1 of 4 (the 3 others are women!) to get to hunt it! First sit, after 2TC up a huge popple and had a 6 pt buck give me multiple chances. It was so windy we had a gale warning! I found the perfect spot and funnel... I had 2 does and their mature fawns come abt 60 yards away. I gotta get closer to the funnel.... Then as I was abt to rappel the little buck came again and hung out for quite awhile...too dark for pics. I'm holding out for something bigger, (only 1 buck in MN) but last week of Dec he'd be down.

My thoughts as well! I have yet to shoot and recover anything that big yet!

Looks like a great side hill setup.
Passed a 6. Good 2.5 I think. Hope I don't regret that. Had a small buck and a doe go by. Was hopen she was hot and more will follow. My raccoon friend is in the tree next to me.

Took the day off work, took my son to school, and headed out with my dad. 75 degrees but the rut is on and it’s beautiful out. Finally a NW wind. In deep and looking for a big one. Stream downhill to my right and a natural pinch to my left. My decoy is setup in between the two. Hoping for a hellish pack out tonight.
Just had 2 coyotes run in behind me. Hopefully they kick something my way or are done for the evening. Good luck everyone

Farm/livestock 3, Shayne 0 so far this year. See what today holds. Had this guy on camera many times all year and as recent as 7 days ago, hoping he decides to head out for dinner tonight.
