LIVE from the saddle 2023

No pigs tonight fellas. I saw a cool coyote/turkey interaction. I saw 3 black shapes heading my way kinda far off and I thought 3 pigs were coming. The first shape got close enough and it was a black coyote and the 2 other shapes were turkeys. The turkeys followed the coyote staying back 30-40 yards just tailing it. A bobcat came into the clearing and I watched it for a while. Great afternoon

Are the coyotes considered game or a nuisance in FL? If nuisance, you should have slipped an arrow into it.

That about perfect eating size too. I think the bigger they are, the worst they taste.
That was a young sow. When I found her I smelled a weird sweet smell. I hooked up my linesman and drug her outta the swamp and didn't think much of it. I got to the spot I was gonna quarter and smelled it again...like a sweat potpourri smell u could kinda taste. Talking with my buddy later he told me that's what happens when they going into heat. It wasn't an unpleasant smell but it was almost overpowering. She was nice and tender/delicious thou. Makes sense why there was 2 boar hogs following her around
