Indicator for when it’s working? Not really sure. It lights up after 10 minutes or so. I got it at Costco a few years ago and it has a built in clip on the back. I forget to put some tape over it every time because it lights you up at last light.

Weird...I haven't seen any of the battery operated 1s in person.....maybe it's to let u know it's preheated and at the correct temp?
I always go by, if it’s too hot to touch them it’s at proper temp

Yeah. She was rocking it later on. That was shortly after we first got set up. Passed some small does and little spiky buck. Had a decent doe come thru right at the end. But was getting dark fast with the clouds. Not close enough to be a slam dunk. So we let her go.

Big ole nothing burger for opening day. Saw a few while scouting around but the spots I had pre picked out didn’t do much. Found some decent looking stuff walking around mid day, will try and get out tomorrow night to get some more intel for the rest of the month I have to hunt.

I think that’s all it is, the ignitor and stuff is all the same as the original one. I forgot how annoying that light was after sunset, so stinking bright when the sun goes down. Definitely need to tape it or pull it out.
