LIVE from the saddle 2023

The Benoit disciples are loving the change in backdrop from yesterday. I myself "tracked" to find this tree to dangle from. Cozy!

I want that Remington!
She's a beaut Ckark! I'd love to say she's a family heirloom with a rich history, but I bought it used a few years ago off gunbroker. Her backstory will remain a mystery, but she's 1 for 1 so far with me. Made for stalking & tracking, but she is handy in the JX3 tree!

Couldn’t tell if they were the same or not. Mines a 760 what’s yours? I’m 0/1 with mine so I’m less excited about using it. That said, my dad is 2/2 with it so it ain’t the gun lol.
7600

It so wanted to bark at the doe that walked by at last call tonight but alas, buck only right now. Fun encounter nonetheless.

I don’t want the deers admiring it. Only for me to see
How can you take a beautiful model 70 and put that wrap on there
Those two marks actually happened on that climb. I used a HME pull up and ran out of length before I got to height so it tipped over then hung from my saddle while I climbed the rest of the way.

Also the featherweight in .308 kicks like a mule for some reason… but I kinda like that about it.

Love wood with marks. 20 years from now you'll remember exactly how that happened. My Mark v deluxe is already dinged up.

Found some white acorns that were still fairly fresh with some scat piles this morning. Spot doesn’t scream guarantee but out of the 2-3 miles I scouted this morning this was the most favorable. I did find a bed 70 yards north of here in some thick stuff as well. It had hair in it. Hoping for a shot at a doe. 55203B70-CB97-4FBA-AB01-8287ADC06710.jpeg

Well here we are. First day of PA rifle. Im genuinely burnt out, and had very little desire to get on stand, despite the big 10 and 9 in daylight yesterday where I'm at. I always sit with my father for rifle as it's something I cherish above all else. by myself today and want it over with.
This is my modus operandi today at the first legal buck I see. Good luck to all
