Now I'm just sitting here wondering if a deer sees a squirrel... Something they have seen thousands of times and know isn't a threat...

...But the squirrel is 25x bigger than they are used to seeing... Will they be alarmed? :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

Lol nice work, you certainly do know how to kill deer. I've been forgetting my walk til ya see deer training and did two post work hang-n-hopes over bedding/transitions recently, didn't see much at all.

Walked till I was 80 yards from feeding deer last night. Went back in this morning and hung 30 yards from the tree they were feeding under.

I just prefer to make groceries when I’m out there. I’m not great at wildlife photography
 
Team no deer reporting for duty. I climbed the most obnoxious oak but I hit her on the second try with my rope. This set up was weird and I’m hanging from a limb rather than the trunk. On one hand I can comfortably sit without any pressure on my knees, on the other hand it’s a little unnerving being in this position I’m not used to. Back in the same tree I shot one yesterday. Had some chasing and cruising action yesterday but nothing in range/ that I wanted to shoot. Already had a buck work in on me about 20 minutes ago. Got about 10 minutes till first light so should be good.

Here I am sitting a south facing hill thinking deer will enjoy its warmth with 30mph NW gusts. Jokes on me though sun hasn’t been out once since sunrise lol. Had a little one come by at 7:30. I’ll hang for another hour or two and then do more scouting. Hopefully I can get out once more this season but if not it’s just more Intel in the memory bank for next year.
