Lone Wolf Custom Gear Kuhnert Ambush Bent bolt/Fix

So my versabutton is pretty off center. Everything else is GTG. definitely subpar implementation, but...

I kinda like it more than I thought I would. Once I put the shoulder straps on it and put it on my back, I immediately wished I had kept the sticks. If they'll carry vertically, I can see getting a lot of use out of this.
Here you go. Man this is a nice package. If my versa button was a little more centered I'd have zero complaints. 12.7 lb for backpack straps, platform, 4 sticks, 5 versa mini's.

That looks slick.. that’s how I envisioned it not sure why they went with mounting sticks sideways.. I like the idea of that platform and my minis / bolts and ditching my pack.. I just have to figure out a small quick attachable pack or somehow to carry a release, range finder, grunt call, battery pack, saw, gear hoist, bow hanger... I don’t want to just stuff that stuff in my pockets.. maybe that paired with a fanny pack? Anyone have any ideas on how they will carry there stuff with this?

?? Not to Hijack

Could someone weigh platform with straps Only.

Would anyone have pics a set of 4 Beast mounted vertically.

platform by itself is 4.59lbs on my scale. Add 6oz to that for the strap.

beast sticks will have to be mounted with antler brackets facing out or your with rip your clothing or draw blood.

I must’ve gotten a gem all my drilling’s are centered.....

lucky sob you are!

I am not so much concerned about the versa button being a little off center even though for the price there should be some relatively tight tolerances held. These look like a high school shop class free handed them.

the bolt that concerns me is the platform to post bolt. That needs to be held to tighter tolerances from the rest. There is not much room in the slot in the platform. Mine is off center. In order for it to fold they had to leave some wiggle room in the spacers in either side of the platform. What this causes is popping creaking when moving or repositioning on the platform. Ie movement of that post on the bolt...

unacceptable...

Agreed, if mine was not fabricated this well I would’ve returned it. Or let them send me a new post....... it’s a high end piece of gear should have the fit & finish to match. Looks like great bones but poor execution for the first run.....

My platform is not drilled straight either.

Mine either. I could live with the versa button not being centered, but as I mentioned the pivot hole for the post (in the platform) is off. It's quite noticeable when folded down and binds when brought up to perpendicular.

I strapped my fanny pack around the stand, fits and functions well, compact enough.

Try putting the backpack straps on the other way. Might be better for the sticks to hang down lower as opposed to popping up past your head.

Got time to take pics of it on your back both ways? I'm antsy AF for my sticks to ship now.

Has anyone been able to get a return label. I have been waiting 2 days on a response

I believe we have 14 days to send for a return so as long as you’ve requested the return before then you should be good to go

Of course now you have to wait to hear from them but the return itself should be still covered within their time frame

I have sent multiple emails. No response.
I still think it’s early on. They are scrambling trying to figure out how not to scrap 30-45k worth of platforms. It just sucks that we have “the man in aluminum treestand design” Andre introducing a new line of stands and sticks using new technology(new for treestands. There is nothing new about water jetting.) and can’t even drill straight holes in the proper location.

Call and leave a message. I just spoke with Andre directly. He was extremely apologetic and helpful and said I will have a return label on the way shortly. He was very patient with me, as I am exhausted after being up 22 hrs straight with a sick kid and unable to speak straight. He did mention they are NOT happy with their manufacturer and are in the process of switching to a new one because of quality issues. Extremely pleasant to talk with, and assuming everything gets squared away here without issue, I will keep my eyes out for a "gen 2" ambush in the future and give it some serious thought.

Same boat! I have spent the last few days to really test this out on multiple trees and so far have been very happy with drilling through the post and adding a Versa button and grade 8 bolt. I have really cammed the platform to the point that the teeth are imbedded into the tree and there is absolutely no flex or bending of that bolt and/or post itself. However, You guys have made me aware of my post itself being off-center and also noticeable when folding it up. I have yet to hang it on a hunt because of the snapping and popping noise of this thing because of the off center post....
