LWCG Stick Aider - DIY

I think it's a cool concept, but still feel that as far as raiders go, a single, moveable piece of webbing that goes up and down the tree with you is the way to go. Aside from the obvious Wright savings, it stays in the sweet spot under your foot, you dont have to find it, and you dont have to deal with attached aiders.

I may try that again since these cables do add a little fiddle factor to the setup which I am not a huge fan of. Last time I tried the CAYG aider it felt a little unstable to me.
 
My issue with the carry as you go aider at least on muddy sticks is that with the shorter stand off it stays close to tree which makes it hard for my foot to get into. I’m sure there is a better technique i need to use, but I will have to look into it.

This is an old thread but they sell vinyl covered steel cable by the foot at tractor supply. They have the ferrules and crimping stuff too.
